Chapter 1043 Prison World War - Part 11

It went without saying much that the next couple of days Arthur was busy dealing with that green fire. He kept consuming it while his forces out there were killing the elites all the time.

Gradually things became clearer to everyone; the enemy just wanted to tangle their forces there and weigh them down without putting a proper fight against them.

It was obvious now what they aimed for. If they didn\'t want to hit through the seven places they invaded, then they were, at least, preparing one big portal to be the main breakthrough.

Arthur thought about this. If he was the enemy, where was the most painful place to hit this empire and cause a lot of problems in it?

At this point, Arthur was sure his enemies weren\'t oblivious about what his empire was doing during the past two years. He wouldn\'t remove the possibility of them sending off spies when he accepted a large number of people during his last steps of invasion.

And if the enemy had eyes inside his empire, then they would certainly know where the key places were.

It made quite sense. After all, if the enemy wanted to control the biggest stretch of land, then they should have focused on attacking the rear parts of his empire.

Anyone watching the fights between the two sides so far would reach a simple conclusion; these annoying portals were limited in their reach.

So if the enemy aimed at gaining control over large pieces of land here then they would have attacked massively once the seven portals of theirs appeared.

The portals all appeared in a big circle, hundreds of miles away from the farthest point Gege\'s portals could reach.

That wasn\'t a coincidence. Coincidence might happen if part of these portals or even half were situated outside the reach of the portals.

But for all of them to appear in such a way meant that his enemy already figured out the reach of Gege\'s portals.

So the appearance of these portals wasn\'t a coincidence at all, but a well planned move in a very tight tactic.

Arthur knew the aim of his enemy now. They wanted to come and hit something in the center of his empire. Or else why would they open such portals outside and try their efforts to lure away his troops from the center of the empire?

If he thought about the center of his empire, he would find many important places there. For example the three cities of the great plains, the first three cities he ever built in this world were so important.

They weren\'t just places with the highest ore income in his empire, but also a key monument, representing the honor of his empire.

In addition to that, there was also the lake city. One of the most beautiful cities he ever built so far. That city held a great importance inside Arthur\'s heart. And the enemy must have noticed how special he treated it.

Not to mention the main army bases were all situated there, plus the main headquarter of the former sky castle.

Despite Sara joining his sect and acting as a peak master already, naming that peak the sky castle peak, yet that city held the main base of that peak.

However if anyone asked Arthur now where he believed the enemy was trying to hit, then he would say with utmost certainty that it was the mountain city.

It wasn\'t just the most beautiful city in his empire, the crown jewel of his reign. This city held another aspect that made it the most suited city to be targeted; the place where his coins were casted.

As his empire flourished, the economy also flourished as well. However so far the base of his economy depended entirely upon the currency casted in that city.

Not to mention its beauty, or the significance it held as a witness over the last big battle between the two warring sides, the battle which determined the fate of this world afterwards, but it also had the only currency casting furnaces in the whole empire.

Hitting that place meant the empire would lose a lot of potential in the future. Losing these already running furnaces and experienced workers and forgers during that attack meant that the empire would need a lot of time to reproduce the same result and quality as now.

Not to mention that Arthur had another doubt. If his enemy decided to come so deep and dared to act against his golden ooze, then he was sure his enemy had a way to either ruin the gigantic ore reserves at the city, or take it away and deprive the empire from the main source of its currency ore.

Arthur didn\'t want to see that happen. If he was given a choice here, he would prefer to lose a thousand cities than to lose this single one.

But he knew he had no absolute control over the situation. The only things he could do was to give the orders for the workers at the casting the currency to withdraw under complete stealthiness.

To do so, he had to slowly replace these workers with fake ones. As for these experienced workers, he had to scatter them all around the world.

So even if the enemy had spies even inside these workers, which was something Arthur didn\'t believe, then the enemy would find the mission to exterminate his brilliant forgers to become impossible.

Arthur was planning for the worse. Just in case he couldn\'t defend his city properly and lost it, at least he would control the damage this way.

After all the ores could be found at any time, but training these talents would become a lifetime mission.

After doing that, he also gave Gege the orders to scatter many mecha units inside the city. He also ordered one necromancer to be stationed not far from the city, and the other one to be on standby.

He didn\'t rashly send the two necromancers to this city as he feared of two things; either his enemy would use a sealing item when attacking, cutting any means of support or escape from the city.
