Chapter 199 199 – The Precious Time

Even though night had come, it didn\'t mean that Kaine could immediately carry out his plan. He still had to wait a while until it was about time people were sleeping.

He did think he was strong. However, that does not mean he will act stupid. He wouldn\'t be so reckless as to wreak havoc if many were still awake. Fighting the crowd was troublesome.

Yes, chaos will indeed wake the sleeping ones. But that doesn\'t mean they can be immediately ready to fight.

He would take advantage of that time interval to escape as quickly as possible.

Seeing the crystal ball scout pass by his cell, Kaine got up from his seat and approached the metal bars. He made sure that the ball was out of sight.

The blood he had been keeping under his clothes leaked out, then some entered the cell\'s keyhole. Because this cage was enchanted with magic, it took Kaine quite a while before he finally heard the \'click\' sound from the cell lock.

He pushed open the cell door and exited, simultaneously forming the blood he was carrying into two thin disks that swirled around him.

The vampire walked at a rapid pace. There was still some time until the crystal ball returned. Not because he was afraid of being found out. He just wanted things to run more efficiently.

If the fight broke out now, everything would be in chaos. After he defeats those who come at him, reinforcements will appear.

There would be several more time-wasting fights before he could free Kayla.

After leaving the men\'s cell block, Kaine immediately moved to the women\'s block after walking through a long corridor. He found empty cells there, just like in the men\'s block. He had to walk to the end before finding an inhabited cell.

"Damn, you got better than mine, Sis." Kaine inserted some of the blood he carried into the cell\'s keyhole.

The cell walls were concrete and smooth, not just rough stone walls. In addition, the bed provided also looks softer and bigger.

Although simple, the place seems much more comfortable.

"You took your time, Kaine." Kayla came to the metal bars while folding her arms across her chest. "They really put a fricking fetus in my womb, and I don\'t know whose it is."

"Looks like I\'m really going to be an uncle, huh?" Kaine chuckled, and that made Kayla snort.

The \'click\' sound of the keyhole appeared just as the surveillance crystal ball passed by. Kaine instantly destroyed it with his blood disk.

"Come on." Kaine opened the cell door. "And be prepared to fight the guards."

Kayla shrugged as she walked out. "Unfortunately, they gave me some potion that suppresses my strength. Now I\'m just like an ordinary human who never practiced."

"Really? That\'s suck." Kaine started walking and Kayla followed him. "But as a first child and a man, I\'m used to doing the heavy lifting, though."

Just as they exited the cell block, a group containing a minotaur, a succubus, and a mage confronted them.

"Hey, stop there!" The succubus gave a warning. "Or this will become ugly."

Before the guards could do anything, Kaine\'s blood disks cut their throats.

Those demons fell almost simultaneously.

"You want to say something, beautiful?" Kaine smiled at the succubus, who had visited him earlier this morning. "Come on, I\'ll listen. I\'m glad you\'re finally willing to talk to me."

The succubus could only glare at the male vampire while holding her bleeding neck.

"You\'re flirting with someone who\'s about to become a corpse? That\'s crossing the line, Kaine. Even for us." Kayla continued walking.

Kaine shrugged and followed his sister.

"It seems they don\'t have a warning system if someone breaks out of the prison and kills the guards," Kayla mumbled. "The others should be flocking here by now."

"It seems they have too much faith in their security system and guards." Kaine chuckled. "Well, their cell lock system is amazing. However, that is nothing new. After observing it for a few days with scan magic, I managed to understand how it works."

While walking out of prison, they did find guards patrolling, but Kaine effortlessly killed them.

"This is too easy." Kayla hissed. "I have a bad feeling."

Right after Kayla said that they ran into another scout crystal ball. Like before, Kaine destroyed the thing with his blood disk.

"Can you still run, Kay?" Kaine asked just as the shards of the crystal ball fell down. "We must get out of here fast and go to our friend\'s place. This bracelet indicates a location quite far from here."

The female vampire let out a long breath. "I might still be able to run, but I\'m not sure I can be as fast as usual. That damn potion really suppressed my abilities in various ways."

"Then, get on my back."

Kayla scratched her hair in frustration. "Fuck, I don\'t like being carried by you. Your moves are too crazy."

Phisovia kept forcing her wings to move faster so she could fly at high speed.

"Come on!" But she did not feel the speed increase at all. It\'s still far from what it used to be.

And suddenly, she felt cramps in the joints of her wings. Her body instantly dived down.

"Shit." She tried to move her wings, but they didn\'t respond. "Arrrgggghhh!!!"

Only a few feet from the ground, Phisovia finally managed to move her wings again. She instantly maneuvered and flew up.

She stopped midair, caught her wild breath, and wiped away the sweat pouring down her cheeks.

How can she lead a regiment with thousands of members if she\'s still like this?

How can she face Lord Vorn?

After her breathing started to normal, she got ready. Determination graced her face.

No excuses. She must earn the respect of her subordinates and always look good in Lord Vorn\'s presence.

However, before flying forward, something caught her attention from a distance. There were several balls of light shooting out from below, followed by the sound of trumpets.

Phisovia flew back to the base while concentrating on contacting Lord Vorn again.

Those light balls\' color is bright red, indicating the presence of intruders.
