Chapter 223 Trust
When the group of monsters got too close, Sauros tapped on Aion\'s shoulders… it was finally his turn. Aion had no idea what he was expecting of him in that kind of situation, but he had some plans of his own… it was time to check if those guys around him could be trusted a bit.
Aion moved his spear forward, and then, using his magic, he enveloped the whole thing with a shit ton of mana while he made it spin around. The wind made the weapon increase in range. Thanks to that, the weapon began to affect the waters while it was rotating… some dumb monsters tried to ignore the weapon while passing close by. Still, the motion pulled them in and smashed them to pieces…
The sucking power of the weapon increased, and eventually, all the monsters dashing at the group lost their speed and began to be sucked in. Aion couldn\'t do that for more than thirty seconds, so he glared at the others to make them wake up from their shock.
Sauros and Seris could even feel Aion\'s anger underwater, so they began to attack the monsters. The spear was killing a few of the weak ones, but the others were still able to swim away, and those were the ones that the group targeted.

During those thirty seconds, the sea got so red with the blood of the monsters that the whirlwind made by the spear also turned crimson. Also, during that time, the group managed to attack after reloading two times. Even the crew members that had a hard time doing that underwater managed to do so since the monsters were no longer swimming toward them.
Still, eventually, Aion ran out of mana again… However, around eighty percent of the monsters had been killed, and the others stepped forward more than willing to finish the job. Aion was the youngest of the group, and the fact that he made so much more than them made them feel a bit ashamed… it was time to carry their own weight.
If he could, Aion would sigh in relief since he couldn\'t see them losing that battle, but he was underwater. Even with the mask, that seemed like a waste of air.
"Aww… come on…" Aion thought and then ended up sighing while looking at his class at level 98.
It was annoying, but… it was also annoying that Aion was getting used to that kind of thing and always saying that it couldn\'t be helped. Putting that aside, Aion watched his allies finish off the monsters. He finally decided to call them that since they were going to succeed on the mission. It was weird that he had never thought of them like that until now, even though they had been working together for two months.
The reason behind that was probably because he didn\'t have many people that he could trust in the Zaera kingdom. Given his position, those who had power and influence saw him with suspicious eyes, and those that didn\'t could only bow their heads out of fear instead of true respect.
Eventually, the group of monsters was dealt with, and then Aion prepared to absorb the bodies. Still, then Sauros pointed at the entrance of the dungeon. When Aion looked at it, he saw monsters leaving the place every ten seconds… that was quite a high pace for a spawning rate.
"Give me a break… they will need only one hour for them to create an army of that size again," Aion thought.
That would be an excellent chance to get experience and reach level one hundred. However, Aion recalled that the class would go back to level one, and the new class would also be at level one… it was a better idea to keep one Melee class at a high level if possible. Besides, Sauros signaled for him to go to the surface to recover his mana. At the same time, Seris and him organized a group to get rid of the new monsters and prevent the creation of another army. Half an hour later, those two returned to the ship, and Aion also had finished absorbing the materials. With the shells of the monsters\' bodies, the refinement of the guardian class will go to the roof.
"Until now, the monsters are coming out of the dungeon. I suspect things will stay like that until we defeat the guardian,* Sauros said. "Some of our teams are taking turns and defeating them, but we need to hurry up. Now and then, some other monsters approach and then attack them. While the teams can fight them off for a while, it will be impossible to see their approach at night."
Fighting at night in the ocean was definitely suicide. Not even Aion with the sniper class could see through the darkness of the ocean during that time. Still, it was hard to say if they could reach the other side of the dungeon, defeat the guardian, and then head to the temple in just four hours…
