Chapter 673 - B-tier!
Chapter 673: B-tier!
When Qin Feng said that he could not control the Glutton Leviathan for long, you better believe him!
Even though his conscious energy was indeed powerful, yet it was still not strong enough to control the Glutton Leviathan for too long a time—the damn thing was too enormous!
Moreover, they did not know where exactly they were. The ocean was vast and enormous too; the Abyssal Ocean was not the entirety of the ocean. There were still a lot of areas in the ocean that humankind had not explored yet.
After moving forward for half an hour, Qin Feng stopped for a breather—his conscious energy could not handle it anymore. His face was as pale as a sheet.
Countless sea beasts were circulating them and the Glutton Leviathan’s lifeless body, surrounding them.
“Qin Feng, you should rest.” Yu Yangtao said.
It had been close to twenty hours since they last got any rest.
Qin Feng nodded. “Okay, I will. You should rest too.”
Although Qin Feng said that he was going to rest, he still released dark runes to conceal the Glutton Leviathan’s body. Thankfully, the Glutton Leviathan was a dark-type sea beast, saving him a lot of effort in concealing it.
Then, Qin Feng sat down in a lotus position.
‘Although I have a C9-tier emperor level conscious energy, controlling this A-tier beast for half an hour is already the peak of my limits. The Glutton Leviathan is too huge!’
The gap in between the power of him and that of the Glutton Leviathan’s was too great. Qin Feng could finally feel this by observing his totally dried up conscious energy.
Right now, there were only two ways to resolve their current predicament.
One, they could just abandon the Glutton Leviathan’s body and move on. However, they could not find out where they were at the moment after travelling for half an hour. And without the Glutton Leviathan’s terrifying presence to scare away the sea beasts, they could get swarmed as soon as they make the first step.
Two, he could raise his power and ascend to B-tier. If he did that, Qin Feng might acquire enough conscious energy to continue controlling the Glutton Leviathan’s corpse.
Qin Feng decided to go for the second option.
Thus, without hesitation, he took out the Glutton Leviathan’s crystal core. This thing was about a meter’s length and contained a lot of runes. The amount of runes in the crystal core was almost as plentiful as the ones he found in the Hell Stone.
“Absorb!”
Qin Feng raised the crystal core and started to absorb it.
Then, black energy started to leak out of it and flow into Qin Feng’s hands. Then, it went to his arms, shoulders, neck and finally to his head.
A black vortex was formed in between his brows.
In less than ten minutes, Qin Feng’s conscious energy had all been recovered.
Not only that, his conscious energy kept on increasing.
Yu Yangtao, who was resting next to him, suddenly sat up as he felt a terrifying presence near him.
‘Again! It’s this feeling again!’ Yu Yangtao felt as though Qin Feng had morphed into a humanoid ultra beast—if he wanted to, he could open his mouth and bite him in half.
Although it was indeed quite easy for Qin Feng to kill him if he wanted—it would be as easy as stomping on an ant, Yu Yangtao knew Qin Feng was not going to do that.
Nonetheless, Yu Yangtao could not help but to be wary around him—much like how any living being would become wary around a predator that was on a higher level of the food chain.
All Yu Yangtao could do was stare at Qin Feng.
Meanwhile, the crystal core was now shrinking to ninety centimeters’ in length while the Glutton Leviathan’s body was experiencing a huge change too.
Although the dark runes had tainted its flesh, the thing still had a lot of powerful flesh and blood in it. The fact that it could take on the undead puppets for so long meant that it had a really sturdy hide too.
And now, as Qin Feng was absorbing it, the hide’s color started to turn into that of grey. And then, when ocean tides crashed on the leviathan’s body, the hide disintegrated and broke down into pieces!
Its flesh and blood too started to dry up before turning into blackened ash.
Qin Feng took the whole day—from sunrise to sunset to complete the absorption process.
Finally, he could feel that every single cell in his body was satiated.
Booom!!
He could feel a surge of power flowing in his body and then... he was now a B-tier! Finally, after having his internal energy reaching B-tier for so long, Qin Feng’s physical body too had caught up to it. Now, he was a full-fledged B-tier ability user!
A powerful, dominating presence leaked out of his body, overwhelming Yu Yangtao.
‘B-tier?! Wait, this feeling... it’s not just any mere B-tier... It’s a prodigious B-tier?’ Yu Yangtao thought to himself in surprise.
Qin Feng’s great power was quite apparent to Yu Yangtao right now. It seemed like his powerful presence was announcing it loudly straight to his face.
And that was not the end of it.
The crystal core had been shrunk to nearly ten centimeters in length.... and then...
Crack!
A crack split open on the crystal core before being crushed to pieces in Qin Feng’s hand.
Qin Feng’s conscious energy right now was so powerful that it had reached a new height. He felt as though he could use his newfound powers to control almost anything.
Five minutes later, Qin Feng opened his eyes—they were a pair of obsidian, pitch-black eyes, as though they each contained a bottomless abyss in them.
“Phew!” Qin Feng breathed out a sigh of satisfaction, like he had eaten a good meal. Then, he blinked his eyes and concealed his dominating presence with his dark runes. Despite having his powers concealed, it was still clear as day that the young man was now a B-tier ability user!
“Congratulations, Sir... err, I mean, Qin Feng!”
Yu Yangtao almost called Qin Feng a “sir” before realizing that it might be a little too early and abhorrent for him to change his attitude toward Qin Feng right now. Nonetheless, it was also quite uncomfortable for him to just call Qin Feng by his name too.
“Thank you.”
Qin Feng responded with a smile. He did not think that coming to the Abyssal Ocean would result in such a great haul.
After giving the surrounding area a scan, Qin Feng saw that the Glutton Leviathan had now turned into a massive pile of fish skeleton. All its flesh, blood and hide were now gone.
“Looks like we don’t need to worry about the smell anymore!” Qin Feng said.
“Yeah, but its fangs are still very sharp. With it on our side, we don’t need to worry about fighting against anything.”
It was true. The Glutton puppet looked even scarier than before too.
The beast’s head was like a massive fish skull, with its sharp, terrifying teeth—teeth that could cut and crush anything that stood in its way. When it was enveloped by dark runes, the white skeleton looked as though they had been painted black.
“Let’s go!”
Qin Feng fired up his conscious energy and ordered the Glutton puppet to keep on moving.
