Chapter 195  Unpredictable Situations (Part 2)

Randa cursed as he was forced to avoid the deadly lightning. He scowled at Ania before glancing at the wolf. Skovi\'s wound ran deep and it was not something that he could fix with his breath in a short amount of time. A cruel grin spread across Randa\'s face as he focused his gaze back on Ania.

Ania cursed as he disappeared from view and a heavy blow struck her back! Luckily, the dwarven armour protected her. However, the blow still stung. She stumbled forward as another blow struck her back, and another landed on the arm she held her spear with. Vibrations ran up to her shoulder which made it difficult for her to keep her grip on the weapon. A moment later, the spear was knocked from her hand as Randa drove the pommel of his blade into her gut!

She gasped for breath as she doubled over, but Randa\'s fist struck her jaw. She toppled over in the snow as Randa laughed.

"Is that it, witch?" Randa sneered as he raised his blade to finish her off.

"No, it\'s not!" Ania chuckled as she pointed the palm of her right hand toward him.

A thick bolt of lightning leapt forth and blasted Randa on the chest! He had been too close to her to avoid it that time, which was what Ania had been waiting for. Randa\'s long, curved blade fell to the snow as he was thrown backwards into the surrounding crowd. Ania\'s vision became blurry as he disappeared. \'I don\'t...\' Ania never finished her thought as she blacked out. The Skardians cheered as they moved to protect her delicate figure on the ground.

Meanwhile, Thovok cursed as he hacked at the knees of his opponent. One of the Skardians who had been fighting near him had witnessed what had happened to Bjorn and warned him the enemies were getting away. As he killed the Sommerdan warrior he turned to the Skardian and asked which way they went. As soon as the Skardian pointed the direction out, Thovok turned his gaze on the dwarven warriors at his side.

"To me! To me, my kin! We march with the fury of the mountains!" Thovok bellowed as he pulled a throwing axe from his belt and lobbed it into the neck of another Sommerdan.

"Harr vok Bmal-dun! Harr vok Dur!" The dwarves roared back as they assaulted the Sommerdan army with renewed vigour.

The dwarves led by Thovok carved a bloody path through the Sommerdan ranks as they gave chase to Bjorn\'s captors. A dark expression flickered on Thovok\'s face as the dwarves continued the chant. \'For the Mountain! For the King!\' Thovok thought as he stomped on the foot of an enemy.

As those events unfolded on separate areas of the battlefield, Exile rose his eyebrow in confusion. Six players were making their way toward him from the centre of the Sommerdan army. However, other members of Ragnarok had also noticed that strange occurrence and were making their way to his side.

"Harik, clear an area over there," Exile said as he killed another player who stood in his path and collected their orb.

Harik frowned at the sudden order but performed it anyway. Before long, a large clearing on the battlefield appeared as no mortal dared to set foot in that area. The NPCs could feel the Divine auras of a number of gods encroaching in that space. For some, it was too much. They directly fainted or spewed their guts out from the overwhelming feeling washing over their bodies.

Exile nodded at Clay, Midas, Winter, Old Un and Burri as they gathered in that location to intercept the players from the Sommerdan forces. However, their opponents appeared to look down on them when they arrived and showed no intentions of fighting. A woman on the enemy side stepped forth, the slit on the side of her fine green silk dress revealed the dark skin of her legs up to her hip as she walked.

Winter scoffed when she caught Burri drooling at that sight, which dragged him back to reality as he shrugged unashamedly at his behaviour. Winter clicked her tongue as she scowled at the enemy player. She had a feeling she was trying to distract the men on purpose with her actions.

However, the woman returned Winter\'s scowl with a sweet smile before she spoke. "Please, fetch Exile of Ragnarok. We would like to discuss terms to end this bloodshed in a peaceful manner."

Before Exile could say anything, Midas stepped forward with a confident expression on his face. "There\'s no need to bother Exile with this. I can speak on behalf of the Pantheon when it comes to negotiations."

"Really?" The woman cocked an eyebrow as she studied Midas\' figure before nodding in satisfaction. "Very well then. Before we begin, I\'m Summer Sands, Vice Leader of Mirage. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?"

"Midas Touch, Commerce and Relations officer of Ragnarok." Midas replied with all the confidence he could muster. Of course, the relations officer part was a total bluff. However, he needed Summer Sands to take him seriously. \'No offence Exile, but I\'m sure you\'ll forgive me. I doubt you can handle something like this, that\'s why you had me deal with Noslin before, right?\'

When Summer Sands saw that nobody on the Ragnarok side refuted Midas\' claim she decided he was worthy of holding those negotiations as Ragnarok\'s representative. After all, there would be no point if he did not have the authority to act on anything they agreed to. The tension between the two groups rose as Summer began to talk.

"These are our terms... For your total surrender..."
