Chapter 26 The CEO's Runaway Omega And Three Little Buns 4.0
He Yuan was truly dumbfounded now. This Zhang Jun didn\'t put his partner in his eyes at all. He ignored the main problem and was instead rushing forward to chase his mistress\'s suitors away right in front of his partner. Li Yexi was truly the most pitiful person he\'d ever met.
Li Shiyu quickly showed Zhang Jun a pleading look, his large limpid eyes filled with tears and endurance. "Zhang Jun don\'t say things like that. You\'d make Yexi misunderstand."
Zhang Jun stared at Li Shiyu, the omega\'s hair was quite long, framing an innocent and youthful face. His heart couldn\'t bear seeing his Shiyu wronged so he held his hand and pulled him close as he spoke softly. "What misunderstanding? Everyone clearly knows you\'re the one I love. I never for once hid my pursuit of you. I\'ve been doing things in an above board manner as I have nothing to hide so don\'t listen to other people\'s opinion."
Li Shiyu struggled weakly in Zhang Jun\'s arms. Trying his best to look as if he wanted to be anywhere but there. "Let me go, Zhang Jun."
"Never! He only wants to come between us, don\'t let him succeed. He had already schemed his way into marrying me but I refuse to stand for his scheming anymore!"
Wow. He Yuan was shocked. So now it was Li Yexi that schemed his way into Zhang Jun\'s life? Look how quick the dumb alpha was to forget that it was the Zhang madam that came to Li Yexi first! How could anyone be this shameless?
The duo were still struggling until Zhang Jun placed Li Shiyu against the wall, ready to kiss him. He Yuan almost threw up. There was no way he was going to watch them kiss, he was already beyond disgusted and his patience was gone. "Can you both take your show somewhere else? Someone is trying to recover."
Zhang Jun glared at He Yuan. "Ungrateful omega!" And then he grabbed Li Shiyu\'s hands and pulled him out of the hospital room.
888 suddenly cleared his throat. [Well that went well.]
"Shut up."
He Yuan laid back on the hospital bed and analyzed his situation. Zhang Jun had yet to find out that the Li family had \'stolen Li Shiyu\'s properties\'. So Li Yexi\'s brother and daddy were still doing okay with the Li corporation.
The major reason Zhang Jun and his little clones had managed to bring down the Li corporation so quickly was because the Zhang family had some shares and were partnering up with them for some top investments.
So he had to look for a way to slowly take the Zhang family influence away from the Li corporation. Looks like he\'d need to pay a visit to the Li family home.
Hours later, He Yuan packed up his stuff and checked out of the hospital. There was not even an attendant with him or a chauffeur to take him home and he had to call a cab. The Zhang family were truly doing a good job in making Li Yexi\'s life miserable.
When he returned to the Zhang mansion, it was quite dark but he could hear the sounds of laughter coming from within.
As soon as he stepped in, the living room became quiet. The Zhang madam and the family head were surrounded by the three little buns whilst Zhang Jun was holding Li Shiyu\'s hand as they shared a sofa.
Immediately Li Shiyu spotted He Yuan, he took his hand away from Zhang Jun\'s and created some space between them. He Yuan scoffed. What was the need?
"You still know you\'re the son-in-law of the Zhang family hmm?" The Zhang madam stared at He Yuan in disgust. "Where have you been all day? A married omega walking about from one place to the other without shame. Do you still remember you have a husband to take care of?"
He Yuan stared at the Zhang madam with wide eyes. He was too shocked to even care about her shamelessly referring to Zhang Jun as his husband. Li Yexi had almost lost his life and yet his in-laws had no idea. The so called husband that managed to visit didn\'t even care to inform his parents. The worst part was that the fool remained silent even now, like he had no idea where Li Yexi had been.
He Yuan had seen all these in Li Yexi\'s memories but having to personally experience it was truly an eye opener.
Li Shiyu made a show of wanting to speak up but Zhang Jun immediately held his hands once more and pulled him close so he was too \'distracted\' by trying to get out of Zhang Jun\'s grasp to speak up for Li Yexi.
Zhang Hua quickly hopped on her grandmother\'s laps and tried to smooth her frown with her little fingers. She looked so serious as she carried out her little task. "Don\'t frown grandma, you\'re going to get wrinkles on your pretty face."
The Zhang madam laughed. "This kid. This old lady\'s face is already so full of wrinkles."
Zhang Ye stood on the sofa and held the old madam\'s face with his little hands and squinted hard. "What wrinkles? I can\'t see anything and how can grandma be old? How old are you? No wait let me guess, you must be sixteen!"
Zhang Di: "Wow grandma is so young. No wonder she looks so pretty. Even prettier than my school mates!"
The Zhang madam was full of laughter and everyone present had warm smiles on their faces... Everyone except He Yuan.
What a time to share a happy moment. He Yuan directly turned away and walked up the stairs. It\'s not like Li Yexi was involved in an accident that almost cost him his life or anything, so why can\'t they be happy?
888 burst out laughing. [Wow. Your life sucks.]
"Shut up. And it\'s not my life, it\'s Li Yexi\'s"
[But you are currently in Li Yexi\'s body so for this period of time, it\'s your life too. You must be sad. No one loves you. Pfft!]
He Yuan ignored the annoying system and walked into Li Yexi\'s room. From the day the omega and kids squad returned, Zhang Jun had moved out to a room in the West wing. Just two rooms away from Li Shiyu\'s. His excuse was that since he just entered the kids\' lives he needed to spend more time with them to make up for lost years.
And since the kids had refused to stay anywhere that didn\'t contain Li Shiyu, he had no other choice. The two rooms in between belonged to the kids. He Yuan chuckled. You\'re all in the same house yet you still needed to sleep next door to the kids, in order to what? Cultivate your father-children bond in their dreams?
The funny thing was that he spent the day, when he was supposed to be building his relationship with the kids, following behind Li Shiyu like a lost dog but at night he suddenly remembered he had to get closer to his kids, so he slept in the room next to them. Who would believe that bullshit? He Yuan wasn\'t even surprised anymore.
The bed was large and looked very comfortable so he quickly settled in. He had spent most of his time in the last realm sleeping on hard straw beds and when he returned to the system space, he had to rest on a hard floor. He needed this comfort.
He would pay a visit to the Li family home the next day and have a proper talk with them. In the mean time, he took Li Yexi\'s laptop and searched online for different books on medicine and medicinal ingredients available in this realm.
After all each realm was quite different and every medicinal ingredient he could recognize here could be of great help in a realm with similar plant life. As he researched, he came across hundreds of books so he was a little stumped.
Unlike his last realm, he was pretty sure he wouldn\'t need to stay in this realm for more than two years. As tricky as the task seemed, he was pretty sure he wouldn\'t need to take a lot of time to fix things so how was he going to finish reading all these before two years was up? Even if he read a book a day, he still wouldn\'t be able to make it.
"888. Are you there?"
[Now you need me? What do you want?]
"Is it possible to take something out of a task realm?"
[Yes. As long as it\'s converted into data and stored away in your stats panel before you complete the task.]
He Yuan smiled. "That\'s great! So can I take all these with me?"
[Sure. 10exp points for each book.]
He Yuan deflated instantly. He had just 1500exp points and there was almost a thousand books online. He definitely couldn\'t afford it. Why was it so expensive anyways? He worked so hard for four years before he managed to get 1500exp points and he still needed to save up to unlock the system marketplace.
Thinking of a different method, he started with categorizing the books that shared a topic together. Three hours later, he was done. Next he compared the contents of each book and selected the one that was most extensive.
Technology was really a good thing. In the end he dwindled the number to just ten books. He wanted more but he was an experience points pauper.
He made sure to order the selected books and some silver needles before going to bed. He\'d spent a lot of time sorting books and it was almost morning.
