Chapter 136: Taking the Fall for Regriel
Chapter 136: Taking the Fall for Regriel
Compass Carburettor had disguised himself as Regriel. Thankfully, Regriel’s final appearance was that of a handsome man with a lean body. It was easier to pull off with some mild operation. And like before when he became a woman, his body was indeed pumped up with enough drugs to kill him in a couple of days.
That was the only way to change the bone structure of his face enough to make him look like Regriel. After all, to those women who had become obsessed with him, even the mildest of change would be apparent.
Even though he didn’t need to go through this extra step and simply kill them, he didn’t wish to do so. After all, the women before him were just victims. It was especially true for General Artica, someone he had promised to save.
So, he wished to do exactly that. Besides, he wasn’t in pain or anything. Rather, due to the drugs pumped into his body, he didn’t even feel a thing. And, once the task was completed, he could simply kill himself, return to his Haggon form, consume 100 Darlac and take human form once again, pristine, as wholly himself.
As for behaving as Regriel, it was rather easy. Regriel was a trashy, characterless individual with lust being the prime driver in life. Even though he started to gain some character after becoming a System User, it wasn’t much of an improvement. After all, only three months had spanned in his life as a System User.
Since he himself was a former trash, Compass Carburettor was able to act as Regriel perfectly. His acting skills were top-notch from the get-go, so this was achievable.
As all the four women hugged him, shedding tears of joy and relief, he touched them one after another, acting like he was consoling them when in reality, he placed the Symbol of Secret Society on them, watching it take effect.
He noticed that the moment he used the Skill of Slave Harem on them, their loyalty towards him was constantly rising. If left alone for some time, it would stabilise in the three digits. He didn’t want that to happen. But, he didn’t act abruptly, for that would make them think he was an imposter.
He had to first make them believe that he was in fact truly Regriel.
“Where have you been all along? How did you survive?” General Artica finally took the opportunity to ask, feeling her heart relax as she frowned, unable to understand why she had been in a state worse than despair before.
“About that,” Regriel laughed, “Everything was a ruse actually.”
Right as he spoke, a Haggon burst through the house, grinning as it emitted a bloodthirsty stare towards the four women.
General Artica reflexively moved to shield him when she shuddered suddenly, feeling that something was wrong. She looked at Regriel, noticing that he seemed different than usual all along.
In actuality, Compass Carburettor retracted the ability of Slave Harem that he cast on all four. Since it was his power now, he was able to control it as he pleased. And, the moment he removed the control on them, General Artica’s sharp instincts caused her to notice the oddity.
“Well, why don’t you remember your impression of me, Artica?” Regriel suddenly laughed, turning around as he slowly hugged her from behind, using his hands to massage her hills, “You absolutely despise me. But all of a sudden, you fell in love with me.”
“W-What?” As the bond between them had already vanished, the effect of Slave Harem on her was constantly waning. Due to that, she was able to notice all the flaws now that she had put off before with convenient reasons.
“It’s because I’m actually a Dungeon Monster, a parasite to be exact that had taken root in Regriel. That’s how he had changed all of a sudden. And, my purpose was to impregnate strong women to produce more of my kind.” Regriel laughed creepily, “Your sense of love towards me was something I fabricated all along. It was a simple magical ability, but you fell for it easily.”
“Were you that hungry for attention?” He laughed, cackling in the process as he announced, “And now, all of you have already been impregnated by me successfully. In a couple of days, you’ll give birth to more of my kind. Not only are you humans puny in strength, but you are also even worse mentally. I didn’t even have to work hard. I simply poked you once, and you moaned hard in response, throwing aside everything to open your legs to me.”
Right as Regriel was about to continue his boasting, he was alarmed as he removed his hand from General Artica’s hills, turning around as he felt suffocated from the killing intent emitted by Rikune.
Once he removed Slave Harem, their loyalty towards him dropped hard instantly. As the remainder of the effect of Slave Harem on them vanished during his monologue, they returned to their original senses.
And now, his words incited their anger, causing their rage to dominate their beings, pushing away every single thought or emotion that wished to enter their mind. After all, he was fondling their respective hills constantly while insulting them.
As each of them were women of pride that garnered respect everywhere they went, they were triggered, emitting killing intent.
The Hero Party!
‘As expected of companions chosen by a System.’ Compass Carburettor could feel the dense killing intent all four women emitted at the same time as it seemed like the interior of the room had darkened all of a sudden.
His heart failed to beat on time while his lungs were struggling to contract and expand as usual, unable to tolerate the pressure brought about by the killing intent. Then, as if they had communicated beforehand, all four women attacked him at the same time, riddling his body with countless holes, expressing their anger as they were like hyenas, shredding him into pieces.
If not for his body being pumped full of drugs that made him feel nothing, this would have been enough to cause him unrepairable trauma.
The action of killing him was the worst of betrayal, causing their loyalty towards him to reach zero instantly, activating the curse.
Regriel had been using the Slave Harem System, one whose power and authority were now his. So technically, it was like Regriel was using his powers. And, since he posed as Regriel while the four women too considered him to be one, the necessary conditions were met.
The curse considered all their memories with the actual Regriel to be those related to Secret Society—which was him in essence. Therefore, the moment they killed Compass Carburettor, the curse activated, wiping out all their memories in the past three months, causing them to stare blankly in a daze for a couple of seconds.
Hekatra took action in this window of opportunity, using a drug to knock them unconscious.
