Chapter 315: O One More
Chapter 315: O One More
Dragon of System; that was what it had become after hatching in a place that resembled the System World. Even though what Compass Carburettor had created didn\'t even come close to the actual System World, it did its magic as a cheap knockoff.
After all, everything was created using Mental Energy, the prime energy means that Systems relied upon and what was present everywhere in the System World.
After it was born, it was able to restrict a System to a certain extent. But, the Dragon of System was only able to unleash one attack before it became weak. It had just hatched, after all. And in this world, the energy it required to cultivate wasn\'t available.
And as it had also absorbed the laws of the Apocalypse World, it was birthed as a one-horned Dragon of System.
Initially, when it unleashed its attack, Compass Carburettor was ready to die a couple of times. But in reality, the effect of the attack on him was incredibly weak, only enough to severely wound him.
And, the moment the Dragon of System noticed him, it began to bawl as it flew into his arms, beginning to recount its story.
"Of course, we dragons inherit all the memories of our parents after birth." It spoke. It then stared at Compass Carburettor, "If you weren\'t a Spirit, I would have attacked you too. Thankfully, you aren\'t a human."
\'So, it\'s able to sense that I\'m a Spirit. Is that why I was spared?\' The thought left his back drenched in cold sweat, thanking the fact that he wasn\'t a human anymore. But, that was also why he had shot all six bullets of his Anthozoa into its egg, condensed using Secret Society.
That way, it wouldn\'t show any hostility towards him. After all, that was why it was even recounting its past to him. Compass Carburettor was able to feel the presence of Secret Society on it, and the connection between them was the strongest out of them all.
It was like the Dragon of System contained part of authority over Secret Society too. It caused him to feel troubled but at the same time expectant too.
"I see, what are you planning to do now?" Compass Carburettor asked, "I feel like your existence is dangerous to the enemies I\'m facing."
"I know that too. After all, I am not a System but have a fraction of the System World\'s power in me. The System World itself wouldn\'t bear my existence and would do everything in its power to kill me." It muttered, saddened, beginning to cry. "I have a greater potential than my mother, but my death would be quick."
"Then, why don\'t you take refuge within my world?" Compass Carburettor said, "Normally, it wouldn\'t be possible. But, you have something resembling a core in your body, right?"
"Yes, it feels different than a dragon core." The Dragon of System nodded, "What is it exactly, though? It feels like multiple abilities of mine are contained within it."
"In this world, if humans gain that orb, they\'ll obtain your ability." Compass Carburettor muttered, wiping his sweat because the tiny palm-sized entity had said the word \'System\' out loud and wasn\'t affected.
Thanks to its birth, it was definitely privy about Systems. After all, it should have also inherited a lot of information through Secret Society, considering how it also had authority on this Personal Fragment.
"Then, will I die if you get my orb?" The Dragon of System stared at him, sporting puppy eyes.
\'How did it learn to do that?\' Compass Carburettor massaged his forehead before muttering, "Dita!"
The cobra appeared on his palm, gazing at the Dragon of System before snorting in displeasure, "I\'m cuter than you."
"What?" The abrupt change of pace unnerved the Dragon of System, causing it to shift glances between Dita and Compass Carburettor. "What is…happening?"
"You have also inherited my powers of Secret Society. Are you able to gather any information from it?" Compass Carburettor asked in return, intending to see just what exactly the dragon of System was capable of.
"I see…" The Dragon of System muttered as it closed its eyes, emanating a subtle aura that resembled the same presence as Secret Society.
As he was the owner of Secret Society, Compass Carburettor was able to sense that the Dragon of System was actually accessing all the records stored in Secret Society. And this included each and every conversation transmitted through their telepathy until now.
After a couple of minutes, it opened its eyes, gazing at Dita, "So, through her, I\'ll be able to live on within you? But, it seems there\'s no space in your Dimensional Space to contain another ability. You\'re still at Stage 4."
"Don\'t worry about that," Compass Carburettor muttered before sending it within his Dimensional Space, "I\'ll reach Stage 5 now."
Thankfully, during his recent battles, Compass Carburettor had been spamming all his abilities as much as he could, obtaining the qualifications to reach Stage 5 in his battle with Krager. Though, considering how dangerous it would be, he hadn\'t attempted that during their battle.
"Might as well do it now." He muttered, hearing what Grisha had been transmitting to him all along. Closing his eyes, he meditated before finding himself in a cold, dark environment.
And surrounding him were Golda, Vutura, Dita, and Hanze, his four mutated beasts. Currently, they only resembled beasts, lacking any sign of intelligence as they pounced upon him.
In this situation, it was impossible for Compass Carburettor to even move, passively watching Dita rip apart his arm and devour it. The rest too did the same, tugging at him from all sides until he was ripped into pieces.
Once they were done, his intact figure appeared once again, his face pale, suffering from the pain of his body getting dismembered in four directions.
But, before he could gather his bearings, his body was ripped apart once again, causing him to scream in pain as his body reformed immediately after. \'Two done…t-two more to go.\'
He wasn\'t even able to scream, for his body was as still as a rock, getting ripped apart the third time. This time, the pain he felt was even magnified as his pain receptors had already reached max sensitivity.
\'One…o-one…on-e…one m-more…\'
