Chapter 129 The Weak Don't Deserve Mercy!

Stopping in her tracks, Solara walked back, stopping a foot away from Alta.

Holding her glare, Alta blinked to ease the tension between them, flashing a grin.

"Did I strike a delicate chord?" Alta urged in a whisper.

Raising a brow at her words, Solara\'s eyes glowed as her hair flew in all directions.

Alta was temporarily distracted by the growing fire around her, looking around herself in confusion at the fire consuming the nearby bushes and trees.

Closing her eyes, Solara let out a sigh of disappointment and shook her head after deactivating her ability.

Alta furrowed her brows, taking two steps back to regroup her thoughts. To her shock, the garden was in its original state devoid of the fire.

\'What the hell–\'

"Don\'t mess with me to witness the outcome of showing my true strength." Solara hissed with a creepy smile.

Putting her hand out in a shake, she wiggled her brows.

"Come on, let\'s maintain our friendship as always." Solara gave an eye-shut smile.

Alta\'s sweat dropped, skeptical about banking on those words.

As the realization began to sink in, a smile made its way to her lips. "You are one crazy Avira."

"You are the first to say and live." Solara chuckled at the words and urged Alta to accept her shake.

Taking the gesture, Alta held onto Solara\'s hand, not willing to let go until she was through with her questions.

Pulling on Solara\'s hand so they were inching closer.

She held a confused glare at Solara. "You must be confused as to how I know about you hiding your true nature."

"I couldn\'t care less as much as you are powerful as a succubus." Solara shrugged and withdrew her hand.

Chuckling at how bold Solara was, Alta, nodded her head in understanding.

"I made a good choice to keep that blue witch." Alta grinned proudly.

Solara gave a glare but responded. "I knew you had done that to rile me up for future battles."

Raising her hands in a low surrender, Alta winked. "You two seemed close, it wouldn\'t hurt to cut in and watch in the background."

"You tried to kill us, what better way than to form a bond to tackle a bigger problem?!" Solara countered with a snarl.

Alta giggled, exhilarated by her mood swings. "You make it seem as though you couldn\'t have done anything to stop my attack."

Shaking her head, Solara clicked her tongue and whipped her hair to shake off the thought.

"I don\'t know how you\'d take this, but I\'d say I understand what you did back there–the weak don\'t deserve mercy!"

Alta let out a gasp in surprise, jumping and tackling Solara into a hug on the side.

"Eeeeee!" She squealed in delight. "You did something wicked, didn\'t you!"

Internally facepalming, Solara pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head at how far gone Alta\'s thoughts had wandered.

Her hands awkwardly raised to avoid touching Alta who still clung to her waist in a tight hug.

Feeling a squeeze, Solara pushed on Alta\'s head a bit to be set free. "A succubus shouldn\'t be acting this way."

"Do you speak from experience? Or else how would you know?" Alta dismissed her assumptions.

"I enjoy the company of those who share an equally evil spirit–I am a demoness after all." Alta clarified.

Solara continued to push on Alta\'s head, targeting her wings instead. "Get the hell off me. Besides, I\'m not evil, unlike you."

Alta pouted and refused to give up, "that hurt my stone-cold heart."

"You have a heart?!" Solara pretended to be shocked by the news with her sarcastic comment.

Not understanding the hidden meaning in the words, Alta responded, "if it\'s that way, I wouldn\'t derive the joy that comes from letting our lord have his way between my legs."

Rolling her eyes to the comment, Solara gestured to be left alone–starting with the hold to her side.

Alta pouted in protest, she needed to know what had changed her perspective. If she had the chance to exploit such a situation, there was a greater chance of Solara unleashing her true form.

"You can tell me, I have experience." Alta urged.

"Unlike you, I didn\'t kill them, just a warning that has kept them in line."

Clap!

Clap!

Solara nodded her head to the words, "if you wish not to speak on it, then I\'d refrain..."

Phew!

Solara\'s elated mood was cut short by Alta\'s words. "For now."

"Why did you follow me?"

Another theory had struck in her thoughts, knowing her walk to the garden wasn\'t merely coincidental.

Alta inhaled and exhaled before speaking. "Because you were an easy target."

\'Easy target.\' Those words played on repeat for Solara as she let out a chuckle in disbelief.

"Let\'s change that." She offered her hand once more to Alta.

Raising a brow at the gesture, "do you do this for every little thing?"

"Just you," Solara responded.

"What are we changing?" She continued, skeptical about the words and clenching her fists beside her.

"Let\'s take it out in the forest where we had met when in search of our lord." Solara offered, smiling with a twisted grin.

Alta tilted her head in confusion, wondering how that would explain her early statement.

I would like to test your ability on a half-strength level." Solara challenged.

"You could have just said that in the beginning." Alta deadpanned.

Materializing into her bright yellow flammable Avira form, with broad wings once spread out, she dashed upwards and changed her course to the right.

A gust of wind blew back Alta\'s hair as she watched with excitement at Solara\'s form.

Before she could get carried away, she facepalmed as she snapped her fingers to open up a portal.

"Impatient as ever." Alta clicked her tongue, letting out a sigh.

\'You could have just waited it out so we took the easier route with my portal!\' She thought as she walked into it.

15 minutes later,

Walking into the garden, Hisha had his hands in his pocket. Oblivious to the fact that the two ladies had been present.

With a frown on his face, he took a sniff of the air. \'Who the hell tried burning my garden?\'

[Nothing was burnt, host]

\'But...\'

[That is merely the residue signature of an Avira transformation]

\'Avira? Solara?!\' Hisha\'s eyes darted around him in suspicion and slight confusion.

He couldn\'t place his bet on what must have prompted her to transform as she had done and fly off and outside his citadel.

[Mark Location activated]

\'A tracker!\' Hisha joked as he watched the loading ellipses.

[Name of harem you would want to locate?]

\'HTC, don\'t you play with me. You know who I\'m trying to locate!\' Hisha rolled his eyes.

[It\'s protocol, host]

As he stared at the screen, his stoic expression was slowly turning to that of worry.

[The time you are wasting staring could be used to say the name of the harem in question]

\'Solara Nyx.\' He reluctantly complied.

[Locating...]

Hisha rapidly had his leg tap the stone pavement as he awaited the results.

Ding!

[Grassy plain-7 miles away]

Hisha was mind blown by the fact that HTC was acting as though it was his map with a hovering miniature diamond above a grassy plain.

Pointing at the gold and black diamond, \'do those signify Solara and Alta?\'

[No, it\'s just a way to beautify the grassy plains]

A cross popping veins made its way to Hisha\'s forehead. \'You sneaky system, I\'m your host! Goddamnit!\'

[Prove it!]

HTC put up a tongue-sticking-out emoji to mock him.

Shaking off the thought of arguing with his system, he opened a portal.

\'This better be worth my effort.\'

Grassy plain,

Boom!

The ground shook from the impact of a massive fireball crashing into a mountain.

"Haha, is that all you got, Avira?"

"It\'s Solara, demoness!" Solara snapped, wiping the sweat off her forehead.

Shrugging to the words, Alta blew a raspberry, barring her nails and charging once more with her Sux outlining her body.

Alta furrowed her brows when she felt a hand hold onto her wrist and that of Solara and fling them in opposite directions.

Tumbling on the floor as a cloud of dust emerged, before picking up her momentum, Alta pushed off the ground and flapped her wings.

Solara had gotten to her feet, almost on the verge of raining profanities on Alta cheating with some strange intervention.

Once the dust had settled, their mouths hung open at the figure that stood in between them.
