Chapter 379 379: The Battle Of London IV
From the look of things Eze was going all out, sometimes because of how well he fights, Cole forgets that his general was a mage not a fighter. Massive beams of fiery solar flares, smashed into the elven army, obliterating pockets of it. But the elves would not be outdone, their formations rippled, shifting and changing as they covered the gaps in it, and then had all of their giant stags to stomp the ground at the same time.
A blast of condensed wind and powerful tremor from the earth was released. It spread out in a ripple from them, with each wave getting progressively more power with each stomp. The first made Cole stumble forwards, he braced himself for the second wave, before the elven army had their stags stomp their hooves again.
The wave smashed into Cole forcing him to grunt as he took a couple of steps back. The next felt like someone had given a small but still painful hit to the gut. At once he turned to Eze who had been knocked out of the sky, frankly speaking Cole had no idea why that guy was so fond of flying or floating in place to release powerful spells.
"We have to break that formation or it will decimate us!" Cole called out to him, the waves were getting stronger, and if each successive waves were getting stronger then Cole and everyone else here was fucked. They would be able to flatten anything with the range of whatever the fuck kind of skill they were all using.
The air was awash with light as spell circles the size of billboards, all blazing an orange gold released beams of condensed sunlight, just in time for the army to release another wave, which intercepted the skill. The wind blast never came, but the earth tremors still arrived, knocking Cole down to his feet.
It was then he released that the attack was not a single one but two attacks. The wind blast would keep getting stronger, crushing bones and fling people back, or it would get sharper and start shearing people in half. The tremors would get more and more powerful, enough that there would be no way their weapons would work neither would anything or anyone be stable to defend themselves from the wind attacks.
And there was no flying to get away from it as the effects could be felt even in the air. The formation was quite simple, if they could neutralize the two attacks long enough for someone to destabilize the formation, then they would be able to take the fight to the elves and turn it into a wild melee.
As if summoned by Cole\'s thoughts the next wave came, Eze condensed all of his spell circles into one massive circle that blade behind him. Then he clapped his hands and it almost seemed as if the day hard darkened. The spell circle released a thin beam of light that seemed like the horizon at sun set.
It met the wind blast in an extremely powerful explosion of heat and wind, a deluge of rushing storms as the tremors drew closer. Cole grunted as he emptied half his energy reserves, it was a risk, but he was on earth and not as powerful as he normally is, and he could at least take the risk to go all out…..there was no other option.,
[Chaos Lord In Effect!]
Black, red, blue and purple wisps of energy began to waft off his body as he directed all of his energy to his leg and stomped on the ground. Giving the energy shape, form and substance as he used [Shockwave] just as Eze\'s attack met the wind blast, Cole\'s met the tremor. The result…..was absolutely fantastic.
*Boom!*
The lucky thing was that the intercept had happened early, they had counter attacked when the wave was just traveling away from the elven army. Which made that particular area the epicenter of the blast. More than three lines of the elves forward guard were ripped to shreds, their formation in disarray as the shock wave from the blast threw many people aside, finally giving the forces from earth, the space they needed to slip into the barrier.
But that was an opportunity only the aspirants could claim. The moment the attacks had gone off and the formation scattered the barrier had begun closing. The shock wave from the blast had also caused damage to the human side of this fight, so only the aspirants would have the chance to get through, and take the fight straight to the dungeon.
Cole crossed through, twirling his sword to deflect arrows being fired at him as Eze landed behind him, put his hands together and released a beam of solar energy that burnt the elves in front of him to crisp. Kaito landed and flapped his psychedelic look butterfly wings, releasing a powerful gust of wind that split with into thousands of butterflies…..flesh eating butterflies.
His aunt landed her fingers moving in a weird manner as the bones of hundreds of elves began to bend and break. Four more people made their way before the barrier closed with a bang! Shearing three aspirants in half and trapping 8 with an army of elves in front and the others outside the dome….or perhaps that\'s the wrong thing to say and the Elves, were trapped in there with them.
