Chapter 264: Soul Coercion, 83 Million Years

Chapter 264: Soul Coercion, 83 Million Years

The Leoux shot out a ray of black light and took the 10-km-diameter spacecraft in. Ling Jiu had also entered the Leoux.

The Evogod spaceship, enveloped in red light, was suspended in the air at this moment.

“This red light is a manifestation of gravitational waves,” Leoux explained with a smile. “Gravity is one of the four fundamental forces of the universe. It is everywhere and exists in every corner of the universe. Nothing can completely isolate gravity. So gravity is a very badass weapon—it can be used to kill enemies, for detection, marking, and communication. Whichever civilization masters gravity will become a unified civilization, and have a vital position in the universe.”

“Interesting.” Ling Jiu nodded.

With the constant penetration of gravity, the Evogod spacecraft gradually went from indifferent to slightly quivering, and then Rubik’s Cube-like small squares appeared on the surface.

The positions of these squares were constantly changing. This series of movements dazzled Ling Jiu as if someone was turning a Rubik’s Cube. But this “Rubik’s Cube” was obviously more complex.

“I’ve made it!”

Leoux suddenly spoke as all the squares came to a halt, regrouping to form a picture of a giant black hole in the spacecraft’s surface.

A half-horizontal and half-vertical aperture surrounded the black hole with darkness in the center.

“This black hole is the symbol of the Evogods.” Leoux smiled. “The spaceship is about to open.”

As soon as Leoux’s voice trailed off, the spaceship suspended in the air opened from the middle, forming a hollow sphere in two halves.

A dazzling yellow light shone out, instantly illuminating the Leoux’s interior.

At the same time, a terrifying mental coercion force poured out, assaulting the mind of Ling Jiu. But Leoux was unaffected.

Ling Jiu’s mind was blank, and blood oozed out of his orifices uncontrollably, as if a heavy hammer had hit his head.

He was injured.

“Darn it!”

“Hold up!” Leoux shouted. It could not hold back its anger upon seeing this.

An intense red light shone from the sky and engulfed the Evogod spaceship.

Coming along with the red light was an extremely powerful force. It froze the Evogod spaceship and the yellow light shining out of the spaceship in place.

Ling Jiu felt better only after the terrifying soul coercion force subsided. He panted, feeling as if he had gone to hell and back.

“Are you okay, Ling Jiu?” Leoux asked with concern.

“I’m fine.”

Ling Jiu vaporized the blood oozing out of his orifices and looked at the Evogod spaceship frozen in the sky with perturbation.

“Leoux, I can’t believe that the soul of the Evogod is so powerful that just the coercion force radiating from it hurt me badly.”

“The strength of its soul rivals that of a perfect three-dimensional being. So you couldn’t withstand even an unconscious release of soul coercion force.

Leoux breathed a sigh of relief spontaneously at seeing that Ling Jiu was fine. It then looked excitedly at the spaceship overhead.

“This Evogod must have practiced Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution, judging by how powerful its soul is. You are rich now, Ling Jiu.”

Ling Jiu’s heart skipped a beat. “As long as I can get the Eight Methods to Black Hole Evolution, it is worth it even though I am injured.”

“I will check it out.” Leoux manipulated the gravitational waves to peer into the Evogod spaceship.

Ling Jiu waited quietly, knowing that what was going on next was not something he could take part in. He could only wait for the result from Leoux.

About ten minutes later, Leoux spoke with a hint of elation in the corners of its mouth. “It is done, Ling Jiu.”

“How is it?” Ling Jiu asked.

“This Evogod was seriously injured.” Leoux’s first sentence had excited Ling Jiu. “I don’t know who hurt the Evogod. The core of its soul is in pieces, its consciousness mostly annihilated. It is unconscious. In other words, this Evogod is as good as dead.”

“What about the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution?” This was the thing Ling Jiu cared most about.

“It is simple.” Leoux licked its lips. “Search its soul and find it from its memory. Tsk, tsk. This is an Evogod, which has usually lived for a long time. Its memory is a huge treasure vault.”

“Search its soul without ado.”

“All right. Let’s do it,” Leoux replied and continued to do its work.

Ling Jiu continued to wait. But this time, it was not until several days later that Leoux came back with an answer.

“You’re rich now, Ling Jiu!” Excitement filled Leoux’s eyes. “As I expected, the memory of every Evogod is a huge treasure vault.”

“Have you found the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution?” Ling Jiu could not wait but ask.

“Calm down.” Leoux was creating suspense. “Do you know how long this Evogod has lived?”

“How long?” Ling Jiu asked back in curiosity.

“Eighty-three-million years.” Leoux spelled out a number that sent Ling Jiu gasping in surprise.

“Eighty-three-million years?”

Ling Jiu felt it was unbelievable. “You just said that the soul of the Evogod is comparable to a perfect three-dimensional being, and a perfect three-dimensional being could only live for one million years. So how could this Evogod have lived for eighty-three-million years?”

The lifespan of a stellar life form is thousands of years.

The lifespan of a galactic life form is tens of thousands of years.

The lifespan of a super clustered life form is hundreds of thousands of years.

The lifespan of a perfect three-dimensional life form is millions of years.

The lifespan of a cosmic life form is tens of millions of years.

A perfect three-dimensional life form that was supposed to have only millions of years of lifespan had lived for 83 million years. This was mind-boggling.

Besides, if Leoux had not killed it, this Evogod would have still been alive. How long could it still live in that case?

“I told you that the Evogods are of the soul. You can’t understand them with your common sense. Besides, they have the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution; their life span is much longer than that of the same-level life form.” Leoux continued, “This Evogod is also a descendant of the wiped-out Evogods, just as I have estimated. It inherited the will of the Evogods, striving to practice the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution to revive the glory of the Evogods. It is a pity that its identity was exposed. When the higher-level civilizations pursued it. It escaped with injured soul and finally ended up here.”

Ling Jiu nodded his understanding. As the creator of a supreme soul cultivation method like the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution, it was entirely understandable why they were coveted and became the target of persecution.

“The Evogod fled to this place, succumbed to its injury, and its soul went into hibernation.”

“It has been nearly a million years until you found it.”
