“The rules of the Women City were set by the emperor himself,” Ye Mo said. “There’s no way for a man to enter this city without going through the Illusion Circle. Do you doubt the circle that was put there by the emperor?”
Any man who went straight into the Women City without passing through the Illusion Circle would be punished by the emperor.
There were a few male warriors who tried to fight their way into the city and were all sent leaving with serious injuries caused by the emperor’s holy light.
Since then, no man had ever dared to try and enter the city by force unless he was stronger than the emperor.
“What a smart-mouth. So what if you’ve passed the Illusion Circle?” Liu Qingcheng snarled. “There’s no way you could defeat Hua Cuican with your current strength. You accepted the match for the Goddess’s Tear, didn’t you? You have no idea how much this match means to us! Do you know how much five drops of the tears mean to us?”
As soon as Liu Qingcheng had learned that Cai Ling was letting an outsider participate in the match, she quickly rushed back.
“Are you defying my order then?” Cai Ling asked coldly.
“City lord, please,” Liu Qingcheng begged. “This match is way too important for us. If we lose, we’ll have to hand the city to Hua Musang!”
“Elder Liu is right...” The girl in green dress agreed. “This match is very important. Even if this man has passed the Illusion Circle, he’s still too weak. There’s no way he could defeat Hua Cuican.”
“I second that opinion,” the other girl, Mu’er, also said.
“Liu Qingcheng, Qing Qing, Mu’er, I get it, I know what all of you are worried about,” Cai Ling said. “But the man before you isn’t as simple as he looks. He was able to slay Xiaoyao Meiqi alone. I don’t think I need to tell you who Xiaoyao Meiqi is, do I?”
“What!” Liu Qingcheng gasped. “He defeated Xiaoyao Meiqi? But he’s just a Spirit Cultivating Seventh Realm warrior!”
Mu’er and Qing Qing were staring at Ye Mo with their mouths opened wide. They’ve both heard of Xiaoyao Meiqi, who was as strong as them, an Energy Shaping First Realm warrior.
“Have I ever disappointed any of you?” Cai Ling asked.

“But...” Liu Qingcheng wasn’t sure of Cai Ling’s choice, but she knew Cai Ling way too well. “Your words alone are not enough to warrant his strength. Why don’t we let him fight either Qing Qing or Mu’er? If he can defeat one of them, then I’ll acknowledge him. I’ll even hand the five tears to him myself.”
As soon as Liu Qingcheng finished her request, Ye Mo began to make his own calculations in his head.
If he wanted to get his hands on the Goddess’s Tears legally, he’d have to show his true power.
“Ye Mo, Qing Qing is my personal disciple while Mu’er is Elder Liu’s granddaughter,” Cai Ling said. “They are both Energy Shaping First Realm warriors. You can choose either of them as your opponent.”
“Anyone of them?” Ye Mo asked.
Cai Ling told Ye Mo both of his opponents’ identities intentionally. One was apprenticing under Cai Ling while the other was Elder Liu’s Granddaughter. It was clear that Qing Qing was stronger than Mu’er. But the reason for Cai Ling doing so was to let Ye Mo challenge the stronger one to shut their mouths up.
“Of course, it’s your choice,” Liu Qingcheng said as she looked at Ye Mo, waiting for his answers.
Qing Qing and Mu’er frowned as they looked at Ye Mo; it was as if they were waiting for the emperor’s arrival.
“Then I’ll choose Qing Qing,” Ye Mo said as soon as Liu Qingcheng finished her sentence.
Liu Qingcheng was shocked by Ye Mo’s choice. Cai Ling’s hint was clear as day. She’d never expected Ye Mo to choose the stronger person.
Qing Qing’s eyes widened as she stared at Ye Mo as if she was warning him that he’ll meet his maker if he chose her.
“Fine. How about I take on both of them?” Ye M suggested.
Liu Qingcheng, Qing Qing, and Mu’er’s eyes became even wider as they stared at Ye Mo with their mouths opened.
Ye Mo shrugged. He knew very well that Liu Qingcheng would still give him the tears as long as he defeated either one of the girls.
But he also knew that if he could defeat both of them. Liu Qingcheng would definitely be impressed. Not only would she hand over the tears without any protest, but she would also feel better about the match that was about to happen in three days.
“Very well!” Liu Qingcheng said. “I will acknowledge that you might be able to defeat Hua Cuican if you could defeat both of them.”
“How dare you look down on us!” Mu’er scolded. “We’re both Energy Shaping First Realm warriors, you know. Even Hua Cuican might not be able to stand against both of us.”
“Don’t speak so fast, Mu’er,” Cai Ling said. “Even if both of you work together, you still might not be able to defeat Ye Mo.”
“It’s truly surprising that you can defeat Xiaoyao Meiqi at your level, but you’re going out of your league to challenge the both of us!” Mu’er said.
She was still skeptical about Ye Mo’s strength since she was still confident in her own power.
“Then shall we begin?” Ye Mo asked.
Before Liu Qingcheng could even start the match, Mu’er took out her whip that was made from the muscles of a water dragon, a weapon of the Higher-grade Magic Level. The aura of the water dragon could still be felt from the whip, making it much more fearsome.
Mu’er swung her whip, and it shot straight towards Ye Mo like a water dragon.
The attack was fast and sudden. Qing Qing stood at one side as she looked at Ye Mo, wondering how he was going to defend against it.
Yet, Ye Mo was no longer where he stood as he reappeared a few feet away from his original location.
Before the others could express their surprise, Ye Mo charged towards Mu’er and threw a punch towards her stomach.
Mu’er quickly withdrew her whip and wrapped it around Ye Mo’s arm.
Ye Mo tuned a full 360 and caught the whip. He pulled with all 12 Dragon Energies in his hand and took the whip away from Mu’er’s hand.
Liu Qingcheng and Qing Qing were both already staring at Ye Mo in awe.
“Don’t hold back! You two should attack together,” Ye Mo said and threw the whip back to Mu’er.
