Chapter 191: - The Knights’ Talents

Broken then checked some information in his Manage Employees menu and found some additional information about the six Knights.
[Name: Igor
Profession: Guard
Salary: 3 Gold 10 Silver
Talents: Battlefield Commander (B) - Charge Tactics (A) - Bravery (B) - Sword Mastery (A) – Kindred Bond (B) - Social Chameleon (D)]
Broken felt a growing sense of amazement as he delved deeper into the profiles of his Knights, uncovering details about their talents that went beyond mere combat. The information on Igor, in particular, stood out, highlighting his impressive capabilities.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Igor\'s talents included ranks like Battlefield Commander with a B rating and Charge Tactics with an A rating, clearly showcasing his strategic prowess. It was evident that Igor\'s choice to master the sword was spot on, given his Sword Mastery talents. However, it was some of the more socially inclined talents that caught Broken\'s attention.
[Kindred Bond: Develops an instant rapport with others, forming connections based on shared experiences.]
[Social Chameleon: Adapts their behavior and mannerisms to fit in seamlessly with different groups.]
Igor was truly an excellent fit for the title of Knight Commander. His blend of combat prowess and innate talent for forging strong interpersonal relationships made him uniquely suited to lead a battalion. He wasn\'t just a fighter; he was a leader who fostered team spirit and camaraderie. Broken couldn\'t help but feel he had hit the jackpot with Igor.
"This is something new to me," Broken mused aloud, pondering the capabilities of the \'Manage Employees\' menu. "It seems that accessing this menu also reveals detailed information about their talents. I wonder if NPCs like Princess Alora have access to this kind of information. If they did, it would certainly help in maximizing their potential."
[Name: Karl
Profession: Guard
Salary: 2 Gold 10 Silver
Talents: Precision Strikes (S) - Iron Will (B) - Last Stand (B) - Sword Mastery (A) - Faction Diplomat (D) - Mirthful Jester (C)]
Karl definitely looked like he\'d be a great fighter. His fighting spirit was strong, and it was clear that he could bring positive energy to the team with his social skills.
[Name: Yann
Profession: Guard
Salary: 1 Gold 90 Silver
Talents: Volley Barrage (B) - Escape Artist (S) - Pathfinding (B) - Bow Expert (B) - Problem Solver (C) - Crisis Counselor (C)]
And as for Yann, he should be exceptional with the bow. He\'s a skilled navigator with a sharp mind and strong convictions. He reminded Broken a bit of Maylock, who was also an archer and a strategist. Maybe they\'d get along well? Or maybe not?
[Name: Damir
Profession: Guard
Salary: 1 Gold 70 Silver
Talents: Charismatic Performer (B) - Unity Advocate (C) - Spell Mastery (B) - Pyromancer (C) - Friendship Forger (C) - Innkeeper\'s Charm (D)]
It was undeniably true that Damir should learn magic; he had a remarkable aptitude for it. Broken believed Damir could be a great asset to the team, especially considering their lack of magic damage. Additionally, he seemed like the kind of person who was deeply devoted to those around him.
[Name: Anna
Profession: Guard
Salary: 1 Gold 20 Silver
Talents: Bravery (S) - Whirlwind Assault (A) - Battle Cry (B) - Greatsword Proficiency (A) - Master Storyteller (C) - Humor Enchanter (B)]
Anna was the youngest among the group, yet her overall talent ratings were quite impressive. However, it seemed she had chosen an unsuitable type of weapon. She should focus on using a greatsword moving forward. Despite that, her cheerful demeanor made her a good fit for her role. She was quite sociable, with talents as a Storyteller and Humor Enchanter.
"Anna," Broken then said aloud.
"Yes, My Lord," she responded with a clear voice. Anna lifted her head and looked at him with a passionate expression.
"Have you ever been trained to use a greatsword?"
"No, My Lord," she replied.
"Very well, please take this opportunity to learn about that type of weapon. I will provide you
with the proper weapon later," he instructed. "Are you interested in trying it?"
"Yes, My Lord," she answered. "I will do my best to learn and become the most reliable Knight you can depend on."
"Excellent, Anna," he praised.
With Anna\'s exceptional Strength stat, she would surely become a Knight with great mastery of the greatsword. And her Bravery, rated S, meant she would be fearless and unyielding on the front lines. However, her greatest challenge would be balancing her stats, particularly in
Constitution and Stamina.
[Name: Inggrid
Profession: Guard
Salary: 1 Gold 90 Silver
Talents: Camouflage (B) - Escape Artist (B) - Tactical Genius (C) - Dual Wielder (C) - Ambush Specialist (C) - Subtle Manipulator (B)]
Broken studied Ingrid\'s profile and concluded that she could develop into a special unit, such as a spy, given her unique talents. He also noted that she had chosen the wrong type of
weapon.
"Ingrid," he said, "please try to learn dual-wield weapons. You can choose between swords or daggers. I give you the freedom to decide."
Ingrid lifted her face and responded firmly, "Understood, My Lord. I will do my best."
With this, the roles of the knights became clearer. Anna could develop into a tank role once she became accustomed to the greatsword and improved her Constitution. Igor and Karl could remain focused on using swords. Yann, with his strategic mind, would excel with the bow. Damir would master magic, and Ingrid, specializing in dual swords or daggers, could become a formidable special unit due to her talents. All in all, the six Knights he received from the kingdom were truly a complete package.
Broken slowly nodded, understanding that even though he now had personal knights, he still had to provide them with a monthly salary-a sum that was quite high, especially because three months in Yunatea equaled one month in the real world.
But then again, nurturing spirits was also costly, given that they consumed Monster Cores and even Monster Soul Stones, which were extremely valuable.
Yet, he was determined to treat anyone who worked for him well, having worked for others
and experienced poor treatment himself. From this, he understood the importance of
kindness and respect towards his employees.
He was even more motivated to develop his own town, which would, of course, bring in a lot
of money.
Princess Alora watched carefully as Broken spoke to his Knights, and it was evident to her that
he held a deep affection for them, even though he had only known them for a short time. He
made a conscious effort to get to know each one on a personal level.
She thought to herself, "He will make a great leader in the future."
"Broken..." Princess Alora called out.
Broken turned to face her, inquiring, "Yes, Princess?"
"They live in the barracks at the palace," Princess Alora said, her voice steady and confident, "but if you want to depart for Slumdon Town soon, you can take them with you." "Very well, Princess Alora," he replied. "I haven\'t yet determined my plans for the immediate future, but I will formulate a strategy first. Once I have done so, I shall take all six of them
with me."
"Good, then," she replied with a satisfied smile. "I\'m sure you can make them excellent Knights in the future. I\'m looking forward to seeing how far they develop under your
leadership."
[Princess Alora has taken a great liking to your hard work and friendly demeanor. Your affinity with the Princess has risen to 30%, showing that she trusts you and is open to further
cooperation. Keep up the excellent work!]
Broken intended to check the information from the ring he had received from King Alorik.
Before doing so, he asked the Princess for permission to leave the castle. "Once again, congratulations, Broken," Princess Alora said, waving her hand.
The six Knights bowed to Broken, though Anna seemed to wave at him with a bit more
enthusiasm. "Until we meet again, my Lord," she said cheerfully.
Broken decided to exit the castle through the back access, choosing this less crowded path for
a bit of solitude.
He made his way to an iron chair situated near the garden by the exit gate. Before stepping outside, he sat down, deciding to log out for a while. With all the information he had received, The needed some time to digest everything.
