Chapter 371: Chapter 371 - Unique-grade Charfire Equine

Chapter 371: - Unique-grade Charfire Equine

He began scanning the area, checking each item one by one-a tedious task, but necessary. Sorting through the debris, he discarded the items he didn\'t need and collected a set of armor and weapons with decent quality. Swords, spears, bows, and armor sets, mostly Epic-grade- nothing particularly special, but solid enough to serve as backups or for other purposes later on.

He also found several Demon Cores, and, of course... The Epic - Emberclaw Soul Stone Lv. 215! Broken laughed as he held the stone in his hand. The once arrogant young master was now nothing more than a dark green Soul Stone, securely in his possession. What could a Soul Stone like this be best used for?

He quickly stored it in his Inventory, deciding to ponder that later. Finally, he had another Soul Stone-and this one was a demon\'s.

There was still one more item-the chest armor that the young master had worn. To his surprise, it was part of the same set as the helmet he had already obtained: the Legendary- grade Molten Bulwark. It was a heavy chestplate crafted from thick, dark metal with glowing, magma-like veins running through it.

And yes! It was a Legendary-grade item! Wow! Three pieces from Infernak so far, and Broken couldn\'t help but wonder if he might soon complete the entire set. The chest armor had a sleek, impressive design, and it would feel incomplete without the matching leg guards, boots, and gloves.

He also wondered if Infernak could drop other weapons besides the sword. It would be exciting to collect various types of weapons from this demon.

But of course, not every drop from this demon would be Legendary-grade, right? He was already lucky to have gotten the Legendary-grade helmet. Even the Legendary-grade sword had been auctioned off at a high price. The young master had only managed to obtain the chest armor, which suggested just how rare these items were. Maybe finding the demon Infernak was truly difficult? Yet, he had stumbled upon it by chance while traveling through the forest.

Broken decided not to linger too long in that place. He quickly stored the chest armor in his Inventory, postponing any further inspection. He needed to get out of there fast-there was no telling if more demons might be on their way, drawn by the spectacle of the battle. And with Gaia on cooldown, he wasn\'t ready for another fight just yet.

But there was something that still nagged at him-the fire horse he had seen earlier. If he remembered correctly, a few of those horses had bolted right after he had cast two skills from the Bedrock Breaker Pickaxe. Could it be possible to capture one of those horses somehow? He wasn\'t sure.

Just as he was pondering this, he noticed a fiery blur moving in the distance, racing toward him. As it drew closer, the figure began to slow down. He could clearly hear the rhythmic pounding of hooves, and yes, it was the same horse he had seen earlier with the demons.

The horse approached, and it was just as he remembered-its skeletal frame partially exposed, with patches of blackened flesh. The creature was engulfed in roaring flames, with fire blazing around its mane, hooves, and tail.

Broken stood still, curious as to why the horse had returned to him. The creature walked slowly toward him, its head moving slightly as if studying him. Then, to his surprise, it lowered its head in a gesture of submission.

[Unique Charfire Equine Lv. 223]

This was the same horse that had pulled the young master\'s carriage. And yes, it turned out to be a Demon Beast of a fairly high tier, Unique-grade!

[The Charfire Equine has lost its master due to your complete victory. It no longer has a master and wishes to submit to you. Your affinity with the Charfire Equine has increased to 47%.]

Oh... so the horse submitted to him because he had defeated its master? He paused for a moment, then slowly approached the horse. He reached out and touched the creature\'s head, which was nothing more than a skeletal horse skull. Flames flickered and danced around the skull as he gently stroked it. The fire didn\'t burn him; instead, it felt strangely warm and alive under his touch.

Why did this horse run away during the battle earlier? It didn\'t help in the fight-was it because its master had commanded it to flee? This was a high-grade Demon Beast, clearly a valuable asset for those demons. If word got out that he now possessed this horse, they would undoubtedly realize he was the one who slaughtered their young master.

One thing that troubled him, though, was that despite building affinity with the horse, he couldn\'t form a contract with a Demon Beast. Yes, more likely, he simply didn\'t know how to do it.

However, Marlene had once promised to help him form a contract with a Demon Beast, and he was tempted to take advantage of that offer for this very situation.

But again, if he brought this horse to Marlene, she would know that he had wiped out the demon caravan. Broken didn\'t want that knowledge to spread-he preferred to keep the items he had acquired a secret, to use them when no one expected it.

He leaned in and said to the horse. "Hey, can you understand my words?"

The horse responded with a deep, guttural neigh, nodding its head slightly.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"You\'re a Unique-grade beast with a level of 223. You\'re strong, but can you survive in the forest on your own?"

The horse responded again, lowering its head even further in acknowledgment.

"Listen carefully, I can\'t take you with me just yet. Give me some time, and I\'ll come back for you."

The horse made the same gesture, as if understanding.

"Now, go into the forest, keep yourself safe. Level up and avoid any dangers or anyone with a higher level than yours."

The horse stood still, seemingly listening and taking in his words.

Broken then pointed toward the forest. "I\'ll return in a few days and look for you there."

The horse shifted its body, stomping its hooves as if in agreement.

"Now, go, and look after your fellow horses too, okay?"

With a final stomp of its hooves, the horse turned and galloped away, disappearing into the depths of the forest.

Broken quickly distanced himself from the aftermath of the battle and started making his way toward the demon town, ready to tackle his next mission-freeing the slaves he had been

planning to rescue.

Now, he was loaded with several new Legendary-grade items and some hefty bonuses, all from what had started as just a casual stroll. Who would have thought robbing demons could

be this much fun?

As he walked, a private message notification popped up from Subaru. Could it be time

already?

Curious, Broken opened the message.
