Chapter 51: Dream Gamble
Soon enough, he was above the clouds and whizzing through the air. Dona clung tightly to him and looked at the school with a dazed expression.
As for the puppet, Seo Ran Hun, it has been left behind in the toilet for now.
Mark summoned the violet screen within his mind and rechecked the Dream Gamble window. It made him contemplative, but contemplation didn\'t slow his flying speed.
[The Dream Gamble—Seo Ran Hun]
[Dream: To ruin the facade of the Trio Hunters and get justice for the dead cousin]
[Conditions:
1. Successfully complete the Dream.
2. Do not hurt Seo Ran Hun\'s immediate family unless they go against you on their own.
3. Do not let the Puppet Seo Ran Hun die throughout the Dream Gamble.
[Success Reward: You can take any one thing from Seo Ran Hun as your own]
[Failure Price: Seo Ran Hun can take any one thing from you of his choice.]
Mark couldn\'t help but chuckle. "Thankfully, that kid\'s brain wasn\'t that bright."
"Urr?" Dona tilted her head as the wind blasted against her face.
Mark smirked. "If it was me, I would have totally added a time limit in the contract. He didn\'t even think of it, but he couldn\'t be blamed either, though…"
Now, he had all the time in the world to finish this Dream Gamble. It was in his favor, and the chance he would win this was way above that of him losing it. In fact, Mark didn\'t feel one bit that he would lose.
Mark\'s plan now was to make Seo Ran Hun into a Hunter and then finish the Gamble in one go. It was going to be as simple as that.
Thankfully, this kid\'s mind was a pure one. Even though Seo Ran Hun had incredible hatred for the Trio Hunters, the youth never truly considered murder for revenge. As long as he could bring his cousin\'s death to true justice, he was fine with that.
In fact, Mark had guessed that the youth would have other bigger dreams than that. Who didn\'t want to become a millionaire or something similar?
Thankfully, he didn\'t have to go through all that length, and the boy\'s only dream was to bring his cousin\'s suicide to justice. With a thought, Mark pulled out his Puppet\'s current Stat.
[Seo Ran Hun]
[Dream Gambler\'s Mortal Puppet]
[Tier 0]
[Physique: 2.2 (Below Low)]
[Mind: 3.2 (Low)]
Mark had no souls, and even if he did, there was no reason to increase a Puppet\'s physical prowess. Now, Mark\'s next goal was to turn Seo Ran Hun into a Hunter.
According to Yuri, when a Demon dies, the World Will of the Hunter World collects its essence. This essence is then used to bless a human with an ability, thus creating a new Hunter.
That was the cycle of how Hunters were born.
A new Demon killed was a new Hunter born.
The potential for a human to become a Hunter will be higher if their genetic Life Structure is somewhat similar to a killed Demon\'s. So, Mark just had to let Yuri alter Seo Ran Hun\'s genetic structure to resemble that of a Demon he plans to kill and then kill the demon.
Then, if Yuri was correct in her guess, Seo Ran Hun should become a Hunter.
For that, Mark first had to get a Demon with a demonic trick and then bring both the Demon and Seo Ran Hun into Yuri\'s lab.
He was headed for the Mega-Dungeon.
Getting a Demonling with a decent demonic trick shouldn\'t be that hard. Since he could only get the demonic trick of the demon and not its Tier of Evolution, he just had to focus on that.
And since it would still be random what demonic trick became his singular Hunter Ability, he didn\'t have to be too picky about it either. There were going to be three abilities in every Demonling\'s hand, and a Hunter would only get one.
He just hoped he would finally have an actual offensive demonic trick.

Looking at the wet backpack on the ground, Mark\'s puppet coldly averted its gaze and walked out of the toilet. A bunch of teachers and students were out there, looking at him with suspicious glances.
An old man walked closer to him and questioned, "What was that golden light from the toilet? It was so bright the entire second floor was awash in it."
Mark shrugged. "How am I to know? It just happened out of nowhere, and then nothing was there. I kinda saw a human amidst the light, but he was too fast; he left as fast as he came."
After that, without any delay or interest in what the students or the principal had to say, he left with his hands in his pocket. The principal looked at him with a complex expression as he passed by.
The man wouldn\'t dare make a big issue with Seo Ran Hun. After all, some people could see the hypocrisy of letting the Trio Hunters walk free like they were doing now. Even the school only had praise for the trio, after all.
Out of the school, near a silent bus stop, Mark took out the walkie-talkie and said, "Yuri, are you on the line?"
"Hmm…" a low-quality audio asked. "This is not Mark. Who is this?"
"This is Mark. I just tried my new demonic trick and turned someone into my puppet. I want your help to turn this puppet into a Hunter now—it\'s a human, by the way."
"Oh—Eh—What?"
"What do you want in order to turn this body into a Hunter?"
Silence.
Yuri wasn\'t suspicious anymore, and she was quick to the point. She had only told Mark about the source of Hunters and their abilities. Only he would know she had a way to make a normal human awaken as a Hunter, which she considered a flawed demon.
"I want a Demon with an ability—I mean demonic trick—alive. Bring it to me, and also bring the puppet to me. I will take care of the rest. I shifted the lab to some distance away; it\'s near…"
She gave him a detailed location, and the Puppet smiled as he waited for a taxi. Luckily, Seo Ran Hun had some money in hand. Mark couldn\'t wait to get that new ability.
In only some time, Mark was nearing the Mega-Dungeon.
