Chapter 67: Trajectory of Fate i
Beichuan visited the villa again. His mood today was different from yesterday; this time, it felt heavy.
Su Hongxing noticed that Beichuan was acting out of character. He was no longer chattering incessantly, and she found herself looking at him intently.
So, even a man like Beichuan could have his concerns.
Beichuan looked at Su Hongxing for a long while before saying, “Su Su, would you believe me if I told you I have been dreaming about sleeping with you for two consecutive nights?”
He had encountered so many women, slept with plenty, but they were all fleeting moments in his life. He wouldn’t even remember their names afterward.
He had not known Su Hongxing for long, and they did not share a deep bond. So why did she appear in his dreams?
Su Hongxing was taken aback, she looked thoughtfully at Beichuan.
Did this mean that Beichuan also recalled his past life? Could he be her destined partner?
“I don’t know why I’ve been dreaming about you. It’s troubling me.” Su Hongxing in the dream was more lifelike, while Su Hongxing in reality seemed more dull and rigid.
“It’s just a dream, don’t take it to heart.” After a while, Su Hongxing responded.
She had to find a way out of this predicament. Compared to Ye Qilan, she trusted Beichuan more.
Since Ye Qilan had given her the choice, she would choose Beichuan then. After all, they were both men. Besides, Beichuan was much easier to deal with than Ye Qilan.
She had thought about escaping from this city. However, Ye Qilan had people keeping an eye on her. At least for now, she wouldn’t be able to succeed. Ye Qilan had already anticipated her every move, leaving her no chance to escape.
“The dream feels real, as do you. I’m a materialist, but I’m beginning to think it’s possible we knew each other in a past life.”
Beichuan’s words sparked a faint smile on Su Hongxing’s lips.
“Beichuan, go home for now. I’ll come find you in a couple of days.” After saying this, Su Hongxing went upstairs to rest.
“Are you joking or are you serious?” Beichuan looked at Su Hongxing’s retreating figure.
Su Hongxing paused, turning to look at Beichuan: “Of course I’m serious!”
She had no choice but to choose Beichuan, as Ye Qilan was out of the equation. Everything was going according to the script of the dream—so was there any point to her reincarnation if she couldn’t alter the course of her fate?
That night, Su Hongxing saw Ye Qilan attending a charity banquet on TV. His female companion was an unfamiliar face with an extremely sweet appearance. She had a delightful smile that made her eyes crinkle at the corners.
Ye Qilan looked at this girl with especially gentle eyes.
Someone managed to capture this tender moment and posted it online.
In just a few minutes, all the online rumours vanished without a trace, and no one mentioned Ye Si’s new romance again.
Du Qingyu didn’t miss this chance to hurt Su Hongxing.
When she arrived at the villa, Su Hongxing was about to go to bed.
“Don’t sleep yet, I’m going to show you a real drama!” Du Qingyu came up to Su Hongxing, grabbing her.
“I’m not interested.” As soon as Su Hongxing spoke, Du Qingyu grabbed her.
Su Hongxing didn’t want to get out of bed, so Du Qingyu found Xiaole; together, they heaved Su Hongxing up and shoved her into the sedan chair.
This rendered Su Hongxing speechless.
There was no denying that Ye Qilan was eccentric, and so were his ex-girlfriends. Even the servants he kept were unusual.
She fell back to sleep as soon as she got in the car, not waking up until Du Qingyu pulled her out.
It seemed pitiful that as a patient, she had to tolerate such harassment even during her sleeping hours.
