Chapter 468
Chapter 468
Siegfried felt wronged the moment he saw the new title was once again related to him backstabbing others.
[I Am Backstabbing]
[Backstabbing is I, and I am backstabbing! Nobody knows if I’m backstabbing you or actually stabbing your back! Deception is as natural as breathing for me, and I can fool my enemies without even intending to!]
[Type: Title]
[Rating: Mythic]
[Effects: +500% Chance of unknowingly deceiving someone else and profiting from it, +500% Chance of completely fooling An NPC. (The chance is higher the lower the NPC’s intellect), +100% Backstab Damage, +100% Back Headshot Damage]
[Note: You could obtain the title Legendary Swindler if you use this title frequently!]
Siegfried obtained the I Am Backstabbing title after deceiving Metatron and bringing others with him to the ransom exchange.
“A-Argh...!” Siegfried could feel his blood pressure shoot up. A vein bulged on his forehead after reading the details of his new title.
The system had decided to grant him a new title called I Am Backstabbing as if the title Demon King of Backstabbing wasn\'t disgraceful enough. Siegfried wasn\'t sure which nonsensical philosophy they had based this new title on.
At this rate, it wouldn\'t be strange for people to suspect Siegfried was born under the Star of Backstabbing and the Star of Swindling.
“This is all...” Siegfried muttered with his head down.
Kwachik!
He gripped his +13 Horse Fly and walked toward Metatron.
“This is all because of you... you fucking bastard...”
“B-Because of me?!” Metatron exclaimed out of pure disbelief.
The noble demon was perplexed why he was being blamed out of the blue, but it was understandable, as he was an NPC and had no way of checking whether Siegfried had obtained a new title or not.
“W-What did I do...?”
“This is all your fault, you bastard!” Siegfried screamed like an enraged beast and swung his +13 Horse Fly.
“Kuheok!”
“If only!”
“Aaaack!”
“You didn’t exist!”
“Ack! P-Please! Mercyyyy!”
“Die! Die! Die! Die! DIEEEE!”
Siegfried lost all reason after seeing his upgraded dishonorable title, and he took it all out on Metatron.
Meanwhile, the noble demon felt he was going to go crazy. ‘W-What the fuck is wrong with this lunatic?! What the hell did I do?!’

The Barrier of Victory soon disappeared.
“U-Ughh... Ahhh...” Metatron groaned in agony while sprawled on the ground like minced meat. Every single bone in his body had been smashed into paste, and he couldn\'t move even a single muscle.
His loyal subject, Chaos, was unfortunately in the same position.
“M-My lord...! Keuk...!”
Leonid had broken Chaos’ legs, but he limped toward Metatron nevertheless.
That was until a giant hamster suddenly kicked him down to the ground.
“Ack!” Chaos screamed and fell face first.
The problem was that he fell face first on top of Metatron.
Crash!
“Aaaaaah!” Metatron screamed in agony. Then he glared at Chaos and lashed out, “Chaos! You crazy bastard!”
“A-Apologies, my lord!”
“Your job is to serve me, not hurt me! You incompetent bastard!”
“Apologies!”
“Get away from me! Ack!”
“Y-Yes, my lord!”
Metatron and Chaos were entangled on the ground, putting on a slapstick comedy show for Siegfried and the others. The scene was quite ironic when taking into consideration that this was a noble demon and his most loyal subject.
“...”
“...”
“...”
Siegfried, Leonid, and Hamchi were in utter disbelief at the show put on by the demonic duo.
“Wow... these guys are really... like Dumb and Dumber,” Siegfried muttered.
“Kyu? What’s Dumb and Dumber, owner punk?!” Hamchi asked.
“Ah, they are quite famous idiots. We use them to describe any dumb pair that goes around together,” Siegfried explained.
“Really? Kyu! I agree! They are Dumb and Dumber!” Hamchi exclaimed while pointing at Metatron and Chaos.
“But is it because they are demons? They are quite tough... Other people would have already died before becoming like that,” Siegfried said.
“Kyu?”
“Anyway, let’s leave those morons for now and secure my property first,” Siegfried said before going over to Gringore.
He freed the rope binding him and took out the piece of wood gagging him.
“Your Majesty! H-Have you come to save me? I, Gringore, will never forget of Your Majesty’s—”
“Six month’s salary deduction.”
“What?!” Gringore exclaimed. Then, he doubted his ears and asked, “W-What do you mean by tha—”
“Sir Gringore.”
“Yes, Your Majesty...?”
“Your body does not belong to you.”
“...?”
“You are my goose—no, my most valuable possession and our kingdom’s treasure. This is your punishment for failing to take care of yourself.”
“Your Majesty... Why does it sound weird for some rea—”
“Silence!”
“...”
“I am the king so do as I say, do you understand? How could you get yourself abducted by those morons and force your king to come all the way here?! Shouldn’t you accept your pay deduction if you have any shame?”
There was no problem with Siegfried’s argument. Gringore had gotten himself abducted, so Siegfried had to come all the way to the Daedalus Underground Great Labyrinth just to save him.
‘I-I know he’s right, but why does something feel off...?’ Gringore wondered. Still, he was grateful that Siegfried had come all the way here to save him, so he knelt on one knee and paid his respects to his liege.
“I, Gringore, gladly accept Your Majesty’s punishment.”
“Yes, that’s right. That’s how it should be!” Siegfried said with a grin and nodding with satisfaction.
‘Oh yeah! I saved money!’
The only thing on Siegfried\'s mind was the amount of gold he would save from the six-month salary deduction.

“Hey, Siegfried...” Leonid awkwardly said. Then, he carefully brought up, “I think your business is done here so I was thinking...”
“Yes, we will go out together now,” Siegfried replied with a nod.
“Really?!”
“Yes, we are really going out. Well, I am a bit reluctant to do it for free, but...” Siegfried trailed off, pondering if he could extort anything out of Leonid. Then, he finally thought of a satisfactory reward and proposed, “Please enter into a blood alliance and a trade agreement with my kingdom once we get back. Of course, the terms will be beneficial to my kingdom.”
Leonid nodded and replied, “No problem! Don’t worry about that at all! I will—”
Siegfried cut him off and added, “But that is not all.”
“Hmm?”
“Can you teach me a few useful skills?”
“You want to learn from me?!” Leonid was shocked. Then, he asked, “I thought you didn’t want to become my disciple?”
“I don’t have to be your disciple to learn from you, right?”
“Hmm?”
“Please watch closely,” Siegfried said before displaying Torrential Flower Rain.
“Heok!” Leonid gasped in horror after seeing the familiar skill.
“T-That’s...! Torrential Flower Rain! That’s Shakiro hyung-nim’s ultimate technique that’s on par with a Grandmaster’s technique! Oh my god! Who are you...? Are you Shakiro hyung-nim’s disciple?”
“No?”
“Y-You’re not?!”
“I just learned it from him...”
“Wow...”
Leonid could no longer grasp what kind of a person Siegfried was.
‘Just who in the world is this guy? He studied under Daode Tianzun-nim, learned Betelgeuse hyung-nim’s Quick Draw, and now he just showed me that he learned Shakiro hyung-nim’s Torrential Flower Rain?
\'What is this guy...? Ah, but come to think of it... His movement in battle and the way he carries himself is different from someone ordinary...’
Siegfried was indeed a strange person. Who else on the continent could have studied magic under Daode Tianzun and learned powerful techniques from two other Masters? It was guaranteed that no other person could have achieved this aside from Siegfried.
“Alright,” Leonid said with a nod. “Let’s do that. These skills would have disappeared along with me if it hadn\'t been for you, and you’re already more than worthy of learning these skills.”
Siegfried was indeed worthy, as he had already learned from both Betelgeuse and Shakiro.
“Then we have a deal?”
“Deal.”
“Excellent! Mehehe...!” Siegfried replied with a satisfied grin. He was now going to learn Leonid’s skills on top of the skills he had learned from Betelgeuse and Shakiro.

Siegfried’s training started immediately while they were on the way to the Boss Room.
Pukeok!
“So I need to use my mana like this and... put a snap right at the end before my kick connects with my target?” Siegfried asked after performing a low kick just as he had learned from Leonid.
The noble demon’s leg twisted at an odd angle after getting hit by the low kick. He was the one bound and gagged this time while being dragged behind the party.
“Aaaaaack!” Metatron screamed in agony.
Yes, Siegfried and Leonid used Metatron as a convenient sandbag, and Siegfried’s progress was extremely fast.
[Alert: The proficiency of Bone Crusher: Low-Kick has increased by 15%!]
[Alert: The proficiency of Bone Crusher: Mid-Kick has increased by 11%!]
[Alert: The proficiency of Bone Crusher: High-Kick has increased by 7%!]
Siegfried practiced the Bone Crusher skills that Leonid had taught him on Metatron, and his proficiency in these skills increased extremely quickly.
‘Wow? These skills are quite strong. I knew it was the right choice to learn something from him,’ Siegfried thought. He was glad he decided to learn a few skills from the man renowned on the continent as the Grappling Master.
Hand-to-hand combat skills would definitely be useful one day, as battles weren\'t only fought with weapons. One could fight much more efficiently if they mixed punches and kicks while fighting, and there could also be situations where he might have to fight without any weapons available.
Was he going to just roll over and die just because he had no weapons with him?
No!
This was the main reason that Siegfried chose to learn from Leonid, as he knew the skills of the Grappling Master were going to be immensely helpful in those kinds of situations.
Well, the fact that Siegfried was treating the skills of a Master like Leonid as some sort of insurance was ironic in itself.
Meanwhile, Metatron was despairing and cursing Siegfried inwardly. ‘You fucking demon! You’re the demon, not me! It’s my first time seeing a demon like you! Not even in the demon realm!’
Sadly, Metatron couldn\'t out his thoughts for fear of Siegfried retaliating and receiving more beating.
Who could have known that the son of a demon king would be relegated to a punching bag dragged around by a mere human?
“Hmm... I guess that’s enough kicking techniques for now. Why don’t you try the other thing I taught you?”
“Ah, that one?”
Siegfried was enthusiastic to learn from Leonid, and his enthusiasm was the bane of someone else.
“Hey, come over here,” Siegfried motioned to the noble demon.
“Y-Yes?!”
“Move faster!”
“Yes, sir!” Metatron limped as fast as he could.
“So this hand goes here... and this goes here...” Siegfried muttered while wrapping his arms around the noble demon’s waist.
Kwachik!
Then, he flung the noble demon backward. It was one of Leonid’s techniques, Backbone Breaker, which was also known as a suplex in pro wrestling.
Metatron’s body drew an arc as he was flung backward.
Shwiiik! Shwiiik!
Suddenly, a flurry of arrows darted toward them from within the darkness at the end of the corridor.
‘D-Danger!’
Metatron had his entire front exposed to the arrows, and he could not even defend himself.
