Chapter 559: How Could It Be Such a Coincidence? (2)
At this moment, the rugged men, Lev and Agfu, embraced each other fiercely in front of everyone.
“Agfu, what are you doing here? You should be with the security team,” Lev asked curiously. Typically, the security team wouldn’t leave their post, especially considering the high-profile individuals they were tasked with protecting.
Agfu glanced towards the large tent in the campsite. Lev noticed his hesitation.
A thought flashed through Lev’s mind. Could there be a high-ranking official from Russia inside?
But he quickly dismissed the idea. If it were a high-ranking official, there would surely be more guards, and they wouldn’t be out here in the wilderness hunting. It simply didn’t make sense.
“I can’t say. You’ve become the head of the GS Irkutsk branch. How did you end up here? And who’s the young man behind you? He seems significant,” Agfu said, casting a glance at Zhou Chao.
Their eyes met, and Zhou Chao nodded politely in acknowledgment.
“He’s my boss!” Lev didn’t see any need to conceal the truth. After all, they were close friends who had been through thick and thin together, and this wasn’t a highly classified matter.
“Your boss is the owner of the GS Group?” Agfu seemed somewhat incredulous.
Lev nodded slightly, confirming Agfu’s guess.
“Are you here to hunt as well?”
Lev’s expression became somewhat amused. “Agfu, the land around here belongs to our boss. You barged in without even notifying us. We thought you might be some kind of lawbreaker.”
Agfu wasn’t a fool and quickly realized what had happened. The gunshots from their earlier hunt had likely attracted Zhou Chao’s group, leading to the scene just now.
“Sorry, wait here. I’ll go report the situation.” Agfu suddenly remembered that he hadn’t briefed the person inside the tent about what was happening outside.
Lev nodded and watched Agfu’s anxious figure hurry away before walking over to Zhou Chao.
“Boss.”
“Caught up with old times? Do you understand the situation?” Zhou Chao looked at Lev calmly and asked.
“Boss, I’m sorry I didn’t clarify, but I’ve got a rough idea. It seems they’re here to accompany some young master for hunting,” Lev said, lowering his head slightly, feeling embarrassed.
“It’s okay. The main person should be coming out soon.” Zhou Chao patted Lev’s shoulder gently.
Lev nodded, walking behind Zhou Chao conscientiously. Soon, he saw the large tent being opened, and four people emerged from inside.
As Zhou Chao approached them with brisk steps, Lev, about to follow, heard Lin Wu beside him saying, “No need to rush. Those are the boss’s friends.” “Boss’s friends?” Lev looked at Lin Wu, puzzled.
Lin Wu nodded faintly, also curious about why this person was here.
At this moment, Zhou Chao had already reached the group of people. Looking at one of the leading men, he smiled and said, “Abdullah, my friend, it’s been a while.”
“Zhou, I never expected to meet you here. You’re really lucky.” Abdullah was also surprised. Since their last parting in the States, they hadn’t been in contact much. Neither of them expected to meet in the deep forests of Russia.
“It’s indeed quite a coincidence. How did you end up here for leisure?” Zhou Chao couldn’t help but glance at the man beside Abdullah as he spoke.
“It’s quite a coincidence indeed. Zhou, let me introduce you to my friend, Ilya, a Bear Country native. He’s the one who invited me here this time!” Abdullah warmly introduced Ilya to Zhou Chao.
“Hello, I’m Zhou Chao from China.”
Upon hearing Zhou Chao’s self-introduction, Ilya’s eyes flickered with surprise. He didn’t expect Zhou Chao to be from China. “Hello, Ilya!”
The two shook hands amicably, but they didn’t delve into each other’s identities. After all, with Abdullah present, they both had a general idea of each other’s backgrounds. Abdullah’s circle of acquaintances consisted mostly of the wealthy and influential.
“Sorry for the misunderstanding earlier. I thought some illegal gold prospectors had come to my territory. Never expected it to be you guys here. Quite a coincidence.”
“Zhou, I heard from Ilya’s men earlier that the boss of the GS Group is here. Could it be you?” Abdullah looked at Zhou Chao curiously. He knew that GS was one of the world’s top three security organizations.
Even Ilya beside him showed a hint of surprise, but it quickly vanished.
Zhou Chao nodded indifferently, not denying it. After all, it wasn’t a particularly secretive matter.
“The financial consortium behind GS had some issues, so they sold it to me. After all, I was a major shareholder of GS before!”
“In that case, you should arrange a couple of professional security teams for me. People of our status often travel abroad, and we value our personal safety. It would be troublesome if we encounter someone with loose morals..”
