Chapter 588: As Long as It’s a Car, It Can Float!
At 1 p.m., Zhou Chao and Wang Lao exchanged greetings, then drove two Hummers with Lin Wu and a few others towards the town.
“Boss, do you think there’s something fishy about Liya suddenly inviting you out? Should we make some arrangements in advance?” Lin Wu, sitting in the passenger seat, turned around and asked.
Hearing this, Zhou Chao chuckled. “Don’t worry, he probably just wants me to join for fun, maybe he’s seen something interesting.”
Zhou Chao believed that Liya or Dmitry were not the type to act recklessly. If they had any ulterior motives, they would have shown them long ago, so why wait until now?
Lin Wu nodded in response and fell silent, gazing thoughtfully out the window.
After about twenty minutes, Zhou Chao and his group arrived at the agreed location – a villa less than five kilometers from the town towards Irkutsk. Several exquisite three-story European-style buildings stood on the open ground, with many cars parked around, including the one Abdullah and Liya drove earlier that morning.
“Are you Mr. Zhou Chao?” A young man from the Bear Country approached as soon as Zhou Chao got out of the car.
Glancing at the man, Zhou Chao asked directly, “Yes, where are Abdullah and Liya?”
“Young Master Liya and Young Master Abdullah are at the back, please follow me,” the young man said with a slight bow.
Zhou Chao nodded slightly and led Lin Wu and several bodyguards to follow the young man towards the back.
After a few turns through two buildings, they came to a huge open space with a monstrous vehicle parked in the center.
“Damn, is that really a T-80 main battle tank?” A surprised voice came from beside Zhou Chao.
Just as Zhou Chao was about to ask Lin Wu what he meant by the T-8o main battle tank, he saw Abdullah and Liya not far away, waving enthusiastically at him.
“Zhou, come over here, what are you standing there for!”
Setting aside his doubts, Zhou Chao hurried over to the two men.
As he approached them, Zhou Chao didn’t even glance at them, his eyes directly fell on the giant machine in front of him, as if he had seen something fascinating.
“Can this thing really be driven?” After a while, Zhou Chao turned to Liya with excitement. He knew this thing must be related to Liya since it appeared here.
“Haha, 1 knew Zhou would be most interested in the tank. I told you so, didn’t I? Remember what you said, when we go back to Irkutsk, you’ll bring me somewhere happy!” Abdullah said excitedly.
Looking at Liya’s somewhat frustrated face, Zhou Chao knew these two had probably made a bet about him before. He didn’t care, what he wanted most now was to climb onto the tank in front of him and have some fun.
Liya said somewhat helplessly, “1 know, I’ll definitely arrange it for you later.”
“Zhou, let me tell you, this tank was not easy for Liya to bring here. If it weren’t for waiting for you, I would have been driving it around in the wilderness by now.” Abdullah patted the T-8o tank somewhat proudly, as if afraid that others didn’t know he could drive a tank.
“Tch, stop bragging. Who was it just now searching on his phone how to operate a tank? It hasn’t been long since then, and you’re already showing off. You’re so shameless!” Liya was indeed adept at undermining others, and he directly hit Abdullah’s weak spot with one sentence.
Knowing that his bluff had been called out, but still maintaining a proud demeanor, “What’s wrong? Can’t Abdullah be a genius? I can figure out the operation process at a glance!”
If it weren’t for seeing Abdullah’s flushed face, Zhou Chao might have actually believed his nonsense.
Ignoring their banter, Zhou Chao climbed onto the tank treads and into the tank before Liya and Abdullah could react.
By the time the two realized what was happening, they heard the rumbling of the tank. Libya and Abdullah stopped in their tracks, turning to look at the tank with astonishment.
“Zhou… Zhou is driving the tank?” Abdullah mechanically turned to Liya beside him and asked. Although he had boasted about being able to drive a tank earlier, it was all just empty talk. He never expected Zhou Chao to actually be able to do it.
“I don’t know, maybe!” Liya said, looking at the tank.
Black smoke billowed from the back of the tank as it slowly started moving. Seeing this, Liya and Abdullah quickly stepped back a few paces, lest there be any accidental harm.
The tank slowly began to move, circling the open ground. Its speed gradually increased under the gaze of the onlookers. Just when they thought that was it, the tank under Zhou Chao’s control began to drift like a toy, performing a tank drift.
“Damn, Liya, did you see that? Drifting… The tank is drifting!” Abdullah grabbed Liya’s arm, shouting excitedly.
Liya’s mouth hung open in disbelief as he watched the tank drifting back and forth on the open ground.
It’s worth noting that the T-8o tank weighs a whopping 43 tons, far heavier than a car weighing only one or two tons. It’s hard to imagine how difficult it is to drift with such a heavy vehicle.
Swallowing hard, Liya finally answered, “Is Zhou a genius? He’s driving the tank so proficiently in such a short time!”
