Chapter 603: Hang Out with Me, Nine Meals a Day
“Okay, then I’ll go wash first!” Zhou Chao said and proceeded to shower.
Lying on the bed, Jiang Li looked around, feeling bored. When she noticed the buttons on the wall near the head of the bed, a mischievous smile crept onto her face.
The hotel bathroom had a glass structure, appearing frosted from the outside, but Jiang Li discovered that the buttons on the wall could change the visibility of the bathroom glass.
Without hesitation, Jiang Li pressed the button, turning the bathroom glass transparent. Zhou Chao, who was showering, completely unaware of being exposed to Jiang Li’s view, continued to hum and bathe.
However, Zhou Chao soon noticed the change. Seeing Jiang Li holding her phone and aiming it at him, he realized what was happening. After all, he had seen plenty of related videos online, but he hadn’t expected to experience it himself today.
After quickly finishing his shower, Zhou Chao stepped out, watching Jiang Li chuckling incessantly, shaking his head helplessly.
With a casual tone, Zhou Chao said, “Go ahead and take your shower. Rest early; we have to return to our hometown tomorrow!”
Jiang Li was well aware of Zhou Chao’s intentions. Rising from the bed and placing her hands on her hips, she warned, “No peeking, alright?”
“Alright, alright, I won’t look. Can I at least play with my phone?” Zhou Chao replied.
“That’s acceptable,” Jiang Li said as she walked toward the bathroom.
Watching Jiang Li enter the bathroom, Zhou Chao couldn’t help but mutter to himself softly, “We’re an old married couple. It’s not like I haven’t seen it before. What’s there to be embarrassed about?”
Although he said so, he couldn’t resist his curiosity. Feeling that the timing was right, he secretly pressed the button again.
As a result, the bathroom glass turned transparent, and Zhou Chao saw Jiang Li staring at him with her hand covering her mouth. Embarrassed, he forced the glass back to its previous state.
“You don’t trust me at all. So petty,” Zhou Chao complained quietly, feeling a bit disappointed.
Jiang Li finished her shower relatively quickly. In less than ten minutes, she emerged wearing a bathrobe.
“Who was the one who promised not to peek? Yet someone couldn’t resist peeking,” Jiang Li teased, looking at Zhou Chao with a playful expression. “Ahem, ahem, that’s called appreciating beauty, not peeking!” Zhou Chao replied nervously, avoiding Jiang Li’s gaze.
Hearing this, Jiang Li’s smile grew even wider. “Ah, I see, appreciating beauty!”
Zhou Chao knew he wouldn’t come out on top in this conversation, so he quickly changed the subject. “Alright, let’s go to bed. We have to wake up early tomorrow!”
“Huh, Brother Chao, are you feeling guilty?” Jiang Li teased.
“I’m not! Absolutely not!”
Smiling, Jiang Li walked over and leaned against Zhou Chao’s chest, tracing circles lightly on his chest with her finger.
“Brother Chao, why don’t you bring Third Aunt and her family to settle in Modu or Jingdu?”
Jiang Li’s question made Zhou Chao realize it was related to the events of tonight. “Third Aunt and Lei Mingtang’s family are different. It’s not easy to leave their hometown. This matter can’t be rushed; it needs to be handled slowly.”
“Got it,” Jiang Li understood. If Third Aunt’s family went to Modu or Jingdu, apart from Zhou Chao and her, they wouldn’t know anyone there.
“Let’s sleep; it’s getting late!”
The next morning, they woke up early as they had to attend Third Grandpa’s birthday banquet, and they also needed to pick up Third Aunt and her husband.
After breakfast, they drove to the Golden Coast.
“Third Aunt, are you ready to go out? Jiang Li and I are on our way!” As soon as they left the hotel, Zhou Chao called Third Aunt. The hotel they stayed in wasn’t far from the Golden Coast, about a two-minute drive.
“We’re already out. We’re about to reach the main gate!”
“Alright!”
As Zhou Chao drove towards the main gate, he happened to see Third Aunt and her husband walking out.
“Third Aunt!” Jiang Li leaned out of the car window and waved at her.
After they got into the car, Zhou Chao didn’t linger. He started the car and headed straight towards their hometown..
