Chapter 125 - 125: 128: Obsessed with His Embrace
Before she left, Aidan Lucas called Samuel Mckinley to send her downstairs.
As they approached the elevator, Lily’s heard Joan Wellington’s coquettish laughter behind her.
Her heart, inexplicably, ached for a moment.
Lily Gray lowered her eyes and followed Samuel Mckinley into the elevator.
She remembered that when she arrived earlier, Samuel had mentioned that
Aidan Lucas didn’t like women coming to look for him at the company.
However, the woman referred to here apparently didn’t include the girl named Joan Wellington.
Before getting into the car, Samuel Mckinley silently handed her a check.
The check was worth three million, with Aidan Lucas’s signature written with lively and graceful strokes.
Samuel’s attitude toward her was still respectful, but Lily Gray knew that the way he looked at her now was much more distant than before.
“Thank you.” Without any further explanation or specifying what the money was for, she took the check and got into the car.
She could tell that Samuel really wanted to ask her what the money was for, but since Aidan Lucas hadn’t asked about it, he naturally wouldn’t interfere.
Sitting in the back seat of the car, Lily Gray stared blankly at the strong characters of Aidan Lucas’s name on the check.
As she looked, she suddenly let out a soft laugh.
She was really so foolish…
On the way here, she had naively thought that she could tell Aidan Lucas about Austin Lucas threatening her.
“Fool…” Lily Gray shook her head at the check, she was a fool, almost taking someone like Aidan Lucas seriously.

After returning home, Lily Gray had dinner alone, took a walk alone, watched television for a while alone, and finally went to bed alone.
By the time she fell asleep, Aidan Lucas still hadn’t returned.
The autumn weather wasn’t much different from early winter.
When Aidan Lucas came back to the room, he found the little person on the bed already asleep.
In fact, it wasn’t just him and Joan Wellington having dinner that night; their bestfriend, Dylan Wellington, was also dining with them.
It was just that, in the afternoon, Lily Gray had annoyed him with those words she said, and he didn’t explain much when she left.
Aidan Lucas didn’t like his own unusual behavior, and he withdrew his gaze from Lily Gray and entered the bathroom with undivided attention.
Soon, he came out wearing a bathrobe, emitting heat from his body.
He got into bed and casually pulled Lily Gray into his arms. Her cold hands and feet made his face sink.
So cold!
She could fall asleep in such coldness?
His black pupils flashed a hint of displeasure, and he held her even tighter.
Her small body curled up and felt the warmth. Unconsciously, she rubbed against him.
In her sleep, Lily Gray first dreamed that she accidentally fell into the icy lake, and then she was saved by someone.
That person held her in their arms, warm and safe.
She didn’t know who saved her, but she instinctively hugged him, basking in the warmth of that secure embrace.
It’s so comfortable…
She liked this person’s embrace.
*
The next day, when Lily Gray woke up, she was enveloped in a warm and comfortable feeling.
She hadn’t slept so comfortably during her stay in the hospital.
Groggily wrapped in her blanket, she felt a certain person’s strong chest and abdominal muscles and rubbed her eyes against them, back and forth.
Ugh…being at home is so nice. Not only is the blanket comfortable, but even the pillow is comfortable, and Aidan Lucas’s embrace is so nice to hug.
She hugged the man’s lean waist and rubbed against him a few times, just as Lily Gray, who was about to get up, suddenly stopped.
Wait a minute.
What did she just rub against?
Lily Gray suddenly opened her eyes, and couldn’t help but gasp.
“Aidan Lucas! You….when did you come back?”
