Chapter 241: Palkus’ Journey! 32
"What\'s this? A bar?" Palkus looked around and asked.
"Of course, what else." Azeroth replied, also looking at the people around.
"You think I\'m just going to follow you here?" Palkus asked.
"Yeah."
"You\'re right." Palkus shook his head. He didn\'t have any plans anyway.
"Hey there, handsome, what would you like to drink?" Sitting on the counter, Azeroth finally took a look at the bartender, and Oh my, it was a bartendress.
"Palkus… Change of plans." Azeroth suddenly said while winking at the lady who was also smiling at him.
"I\'ll get some banana juice." Palkus said.
"…" Azeroth and the bartender looked at him strangely.
"Give me water then." Seeing the looks he was given, young man immediately made the connection that such a thing as banana juice wasn\'t here.
"On that, cutie. And you, handsome?" She looked at Azeroth, her hands skillfully cleaning a cup.
"How about you give me your finest drink." Azeroth said.
"On that." And then Lady moved on to show her skills.
"Well, aren\'t you quite skilled." Azeroth complimented.
"Oh my, thank you." The bartendress didn\'t stop what she was doing.
"How\'s the situation in this town?" Azeroth suddenly asked.
"Hmm? Are you guys new here? Well, this town is quite special because the lord her is a female. And she also… has a thing against men so you\'ll probably notice that women have more of a say here." The lady started explaining.
"I can see that." Azeroth nodded.
"Here your water." Handing Palkus her water, the waitress returned to focus on Azeroth\'s drink. She brought out a couple bottles, a cup, and a couple other things before she started doing her magic.
Azeroth focused on her and enjoyed the beautiful view in silence while Palkus just stood there lazily playing around with his cup.
"Hey there, handsome. Want to enjoy a drink with us?" Out of nowhere, a pair of beauties dressed in dark attire showed up close to Palkus and sat next to him.
"I\'m married." Palkus didn\'t even glance at them and said.
"Umm…" Not thinking they would get rejected like that, the ladies looked at each other and then got up to leave.
"Hahaha, how bold of you, Palkus." Azeroth laughed when he saw the rough way Palkus treated the women.
"I\'m not here to play with women." Palkus explained, his face showing that he was in no way joking around.
"Yeah, yeah, sure."
"Here, handsome. It\'s on me today." The bartendress handed Azeroth his drink and winked at him.
"Oh my, how kind of you." Azeroth smiled sweetly and took the drink.
Before he drank it, he checked the texture and couple other things, displaying his experience as a wine connoisseur.
He was still just trying out things and his plans weren\'t to drink a single cup but to make sure he wouldn\'t have to worry about wine ever again.
Thus, he looked at the lady, who didn\'t have anything to do currently.
"How\'s business here? Any… inconveniences?" Azeroth asked.
"Ah, don\'t even start there. You see…" The lady started speaking.
She went on and on about how she started this business a couple hundred years ago. At first, everything was going well and she even had a couple partners—two other women and a guy.
The four of them each took care of the bar for a day, so technically she had only had to work a day per week. And since business here was so well going with the lack of poverty, she had no problems whatsoever.
Hearing the ladies rumblings prompted Palkus to finally take a look at her and… She indeed was beautiful.
Like any other vampire, in fact. Her skin was pale with plump red lips that attracted even the monks among men. Her dark hair shone with a beautiful magical luster and fell down all the way to her waist and her black and white outfit didn\'t do a good job as it failed to hide the beauty of her figure.
Palkus, however, wasn\'t so amazed with her figure. Emily was endlessly more appealing to him than any woman his eyes led him to gaze upon from the second they got out of the estate to the moment they opened the door to the bar.
While Palkus focused back on his cup of water, Azeroth, however, attentively listened to the bartendress.
When he just came here, he thought he would come across a male bartender. If that was the case, then he would start a trade. If the bar had no problems, such as gangsters trying to cause problems or pressure from some higher power, then he would create such a problem.
After that, the fallen angel would offer his help in exchange for… free wine.
He was but a simple man, he had indulged in all that was holy, then he indulged in all that was unholy, and now… he just wanted to laze around and enjoy beauty and wine.
Thus, when he saw the bartendress, he changed plans. He didn\'t just want wine, he wanted wine AND the bartendress herself.
You see, as full of wine bottles as it was, the room he was in seemed so empty, so devoid of life. He had to change that. He needed company and what better company was there than a cute little vampire sucking the life out of him every night?
Azeroth was getting excited.
Back when he wanted to reach S-rank once again, he had to go back to Draco\'s continent and make of his people, his descendants, a major clan. Such a feat was easy, but what was harder was the condition to fix the bond between them.
It was hard. It was hard to change the hatred his children and subordinates had against him into love or at least, a neutral relationship.
And when he managed to do so… His cute favorite princess caused him problems.
\'Hmm? Now, now. Wouldn\'t he make a perfect son-in-law?\' Thinking of his daughter, Azeroth glanced to his side at Palkus and thought.
\'We\'ll see about that.\' And he looked back at the bartendress, who was still rumbling.
"I can fix that." He said.
