Chapter 161: Assistance
Drawing upon their experience and sharp instincts, they navigated the rugged terrain, each step was careful as they guided the undead threats closer to their intended destination.
"I already send a message to Clan Leader… He\'s not replying yet." Lyra said.
"He must be very busy right now. Let\'s just trust him.." Jaxon said that he had also checked his message board and confirmed that Shane hadn\'t read his message yet.
Lyra and Jaxon had no other choice as they employed a series of well-timed distractions and baiting techniques to lure the Tyrant Zombies toward Shane\'s locations.
Tap… Tap… Tap…
The rhythmic sound of footsteps echoed through the clearing as they skillfully drew the attention of the creatures, their movements weren\'t very fast but it was synchronized in perfect harmony making the two zombies unable to catch them.
"What? I\'m seeing a cave in front!" Lyra exclaimed as she didn\'t expect that Shane\'s shelter was inside the cave. She was worried that it was filled with traps that Shane and his team made to deal with the zombies!
They may not die from the Zombies but their lives would be in danger from the traps that were arranged by their Clan Leader!
Jaxon, the one who always strategizes during combat, assessed the location where Shane\'s dot could be seen.
It was indeed inside the rocky hill where the cave entrance was located.
"I think that Shane\'s location was moved some time ago. It\'s in the same area last night… He must be exploring this place instead. I don\'t think it\'s his shelter. Did he told us that his territory had palisade walls?" Jaxon said as he analyzed the location.
As they neared the mouth of the cave, a sense of anticipation hung in the air. The two of them were a bit nervous as they considered whether to enter the cave or not.
After some time, Lyra cast a quick glance at Jaxon, a silent exchange of reassurance passing between them as they decided to press on!
Of course, for one last time, amidst their efforts to lead the Tyrant Zombies toward the cave, Lyra and Jaxon had attempted to contact Shane through a private message, seeking to alert him of their imminent arrival.
They didn\'t wait for Shane to reply, and they decided to fight just outside the cave entrance!

As Shane and his team were killing several more Cave Dweller Zombies, an alert from Cloud, his A.I. Assistant, alarmed him.
[ Two humans have been detected at the entrance of the cave. They\'re together with two Tyrant Zombies. ]
"Together? You mean they\'re fighting the Zombies, right?" Shane asked, as his initial thought was that the Tyrant Zombies were being friends with the humans.
[ Yes. ] Cloud answered with his mechanical voice.
Shane then looked at his companions.
The five elves just killed a dozen of Cave Dweller Zombies. Chaloem, the monk, had just killed six Screamer Zombies while Shinja, the warlord, was looking at the tunnel further inside the cave.
It must be where the boss zombie was located.
Unfortunately for Shinja, Shane wanted to fight against this boss zombie as he wanted to fight with his full strength.
Then, for some reason, Shane had the urge to look at his Map. Without hesitation, he opened the System Feature and found two green dots outside the cave!
They were members of his clan?
\'So fast? Who are they?\' Shane thought but he knew that this was an emergency.
"Shinja, can you take care of the problem outside? There are two Tyrant Zombies there. They\'re fighting against two Survivors. They\'re my friends! Take care of them!" Shane ordered.
Shinja didn\'t hesitate after being ordered. He nodded and sheathed his two blades before he rushed outside.
\'They should be fine…\' Shane thought as his gaze followed the warlord\'s silhouette until it disappeared from the orb\'s light.

\'The Clan Leader\'s friends, huh…\' Shinja repeated in his mind as he felt curious about them.
Soon, the rhythmic clashing of steel and the guttural roars of the Tyrant Zombies grew louder as Shinja approached the fray.
Outside, Lyra and Jaxon were fighting frantically, their tactics weren\'t perfect, but Shinja could tell that they\'d already killed plenty of people, or perhaps, zombies.
Although they weren\'t doing much damage to the Tyrant Zombies, they moved with a fluidity that belied the danger they faced. They weren\'t making too many errors for the Tyrant Zombies to take advantage of.
The zombies\' skin, dark as forged iron, seemed impervious to the duo\'s weapons, and their muscular forms towered over the humans, casting long shadows on the ground.
Shinja emerged from the cave, his presence could easily be felt and the two Survivors had also noticed his arrival...
However, Lyra and Jaxon weren\'t in a position to look at the man yet! Nonetheless, they could tell that the one that had arrived was not a zombie!
"Mhmm… Not bad."
Shinja said as he assessed the situation in a heartbeat—the two friends of Shane, their backs nearly against the cave wall, fought with desperation but their moves were still very calculated.
Without a word, he drew his blades, the sunlight glinting off the polished steel.
The Tyrant Zombies, who had decent intelligence among all other zombies, turned their attention to the new threat, their primal instincts recognizing the danger Shinja posed.
With a roar, they charged, but Shinja was ready.
"Come at me, deranged monsters."
Shinja muttered as he raised his hand and slashed at the zombie\'s bodies.
His blades struck with lethal precision, almost cutting off the shoulders of the Tyrant Zombies! Their armor-like skin was nothing to him at all!
"Sir! We\'ll help you!"
Lyra and Jaxon seized the opportunity.
They redoubled their efforts, attacking from the sides, and their weapons found the openings Shinja created. To be exact, they targeted the wounds that Shinja created since they could not pierce through the Tyrant Zombie\'s skin!
