Chapter 68: KTV Unlock
Chapter 68
Indeed, although the teaching building was just behind the hotel, it was the children\'s first day of school, so parents wanted to come and pick them up.
Seeing her arrive, several parents greeted her.
Gu Wanyin smiled and nodded in response.
Soon, the students were dismissed, and they streamed out of the teaching building one by one, carrying their little backpacks.
The backpacks were bought by parents at the supermarket. There were many styles, and they weren\'t expensive - a good one could be bought for just thirty points.
"Sister!" Cola and Hamburger both rushed towards her.
Gu Wanyin took them back to the hotel. Sure enough, the kitten hadn\'t left. It was lazily sprawled on the floor of the hotel lobby, its tail swishing back and forth, as if it already knew this was a safe place.
"Sister, where did this kitten come from?"
"It walked in by itself. I\'m planning to keep it."
"Great! But it\'s too dirty. We need to wash it first."
Gu Wanyin took the kitten to the bathroom in the Main Room and gave it a thorough wash.
After washing off all the dirt and grime, the kitten revealed its true appearance - it was a purebred-
Big Orange Cat.
Gu Wanyin knew that orange cats were tough, but she didn\'t expect this one to be so resilient, surviving until now in the post-apocalyptic world!
After blow-drying its fur, the Big Orange Cat lay on the ground listlessly, seemingly too weak even to meow.
"Sister, it must be hungry," Cola said.
"Yes, I\'ll go see what I can find for it to eat."
There wasn\'t a pet supply store in the hotel yet, and the supermarket didn\'t have cat food.
So Gu Wanyin could only go to the cafeteria to see if there was anything suitable for it to eat.
Gu Wanyin remembered that generally, it\'s best not to feed cats human food, especially dishes that are too oily or salty.
However, this cat had managed to survive for nearly two years in the post-apocalyptic world, which indicated its extremely strong constitution. Right now, the most important thing was to fill its stomach.
Gu Wanyin looked around the cafeteria and found a dish called boiled chicken breast.
She thought this dish was quite suitable, with little oil and not much salt.
So she took a portion and brought it back to feed the cat.
Sure enough, as soon as the cat saw the food, its round eyes lit up. It immediately pounced on the food, devouring it ravenously.
"Little kitty, eat more, you\'re too skinny now," Hamburger said, stroking the cat\'s back. "By the way, shouldn\'t we give it a name?"
"You\'re called Hamburger, I\'m called Cola, so let\'s call it Fries!"
"Agreed!"
After finishing a portion of chicken breast, the cat named Fries still didn\'t seem full. It let out a soft "meow" towards Gu Wanyin and walked to her side, rubbing its head against the back of her hand.
"Still not full?" Gu Wanyin stroked it. "Cola, Hamburger, go to the supermarket and see if there are any dried fish or something similar, bring some back for it to eat."
"Okay!"
Cola and Hamburger quickly brought back several packs of dried fish. Fries gobbled them all up, finally satisfied. It curled up in the makeshift cat bed made from a blanket and slowly fell asleep.
...
"Ding! Task completed. Rewards: All rooms on the ninth floor unlocked; all rooms on the eighth floor upgraded once; KTV and related facilities unlocked; String Hotpot restaurant unlocked with unlimited ingredients."
This task was indeed completed quickly.
Gu Wanyin was curious about what the presidential suite on the ninth floor looked like, so she went to take a look.
Since no one was living there yet, she could go in and see.
First of all, in terms of size, the presidential suite was the largest.
The bed inside was big and soft, and there were several rooms, including three bedrooms, a reception room, a study, and things like sofas, floor-to-ceiling windows, and chandeliers that all looked very expensive.
And it would continue to upgrade in the future!
Gu Wanyin thought to herself that this was indeed a presidential suite worth 100 points per night.
The presidential suites on the ninth floor had a maximum occupancy of three people per room.
Even averaged out, it would cost more than thirty points per person per day.
Coincidentally, this weekend was Bai Shuwen\'s birthday.
Before coming to the hotel, she had long lost track of what month or day it was, let alone thinking about celebrating birthdays.
But now that there was a calendar in the hotel, and it happened to be her birthday, she decided to celebrate.
Bai Shuwen had just exchanged Crystal Cores for points, so she invited a few close friends to eat at the newly opened String Hotpot restaurant, and then go to the KTV to sing afterward.
She naturally invited Gu Wanyin as well, but since Gu Wanyin could take things freely, she wouldn\'t let Bai Shuwen spend points to treat her.
The types of soup bases in the String Hotpot restaurant were similar to those in the hotpot restaurant, and there was also a wide variety of skewers.
But because each skewer only had a small piece of meat, they weren\'t expensive, just one point for two skewers.
Other dishes and soup bases were priced similarly to the hotpot restaurant.
After eating String Hotpot, Bai Shuwen, Zhuang Xiaoxia, Dong Yue, and Gu Wanyin went to the KTV together.
The KTV had large, medium, and small rooms. Large rooms were ten points per hour, medium rooms were eight points per hour, and small rooms were five points per hour. The song library was very comprehensive, not only including songs from this world but also songs from Gu Wanyin\'s previous world.
Bai Shuwen booked a medium room. The KTV also offered beer and fruit platters, priced similarly to the beer in other shops and the fruit in the fruit shop.
Dong Yue said to Bai Shuwen, "I\'ve heard you sing before, it was really good! I can still hum the tune..."
Bai Shuwen waved her hand and said, "That was all auto-tuned, don\'t believe it. Otherwise, why do you think I never sing live at events?"
Dong Yue: "..."
Sister, you\'re too honest!
The medium room had three microphones in total, and the sound quality was very good.
Surprisingly, Zhuang Xiaoxia\'s singing was quite good. Although she wasn\'t a professional, you could tell she had natural talent.
"You should get some training, you could totally enter the music industry!" Bai Shuwen said in surprise. "It\'s a pity I didn\'t know you earlier. If I had known you before the apocalypse, I would have definitely had my company sign you and made you a big star!"
"I definitely couldn\'t do that," Zhuang Xiaoxia quickly waved her hands. "I\'m too sensitive. If I saw any negative comments about me, I\'d be devastated."
"It\'s okay, you\'d get used to it. I remember when I first debuted, I was criticized so much I felt like a lump of coal!"
Bai Shuwen then shared a few funny stories from when she first debuted, making everyone laugh heartily.
Meanwhile, outside, the weather had turned bad again, with temperatures plummeting. Currently, it had reached minus thirty to forty degrees Celsius.
In such harsh weather, surprisingly, a person appeared near the hotel.
He was wrapped in a thick cotton coat, but was still shivering from the cold.
But even in this state, he didn\'t leave. He just stared at the hotel with hateful eyes, muttering, "Gu Wanyin, you killed the person I loved most. I will never let you off..."
