Ji-Hyuk sent me the link to my fancam video on UTube, brimming with excitement that I was getting lots of positive reactions. Woo-Jeong from Street Center and our very own Jin-Sung also urged me to watch it. I thought that the footage that our manager captured during the event would suffice, even with the inclusion of the embarrassing “Blue Room Party” mishap.

However, Goh Yoo-Joon made me watch it eventually as I tried avoiding it. To my surprise, the video—a solo fancam of a rookie idol like me—had amassed an impressive number of views, and the fans\' adoration was evident. Maybe this “embarrassing” video wasn\'t so bad after all.

“See, I told you you\'d like it," Goh Yoo-Joon said with a knowing smile. It was then that I realized I was smiling too.

“No, I don’t," I protested half-heartedly.

But deep down, I knew it was true. Being praised felt good as I was just a human after all.

“You were incredible, hyung. I\'ve watched it over and over as well. How do you command the stage like that?" asked Yoon-Chan.

“Thanks, Yoon-Chan," I replied, grinning at Yoon-Chan who sat beside me.

The car continued to rattle along the winding country road, each bump a reminder of our journey\'s purpose. We were all heading to meet Senior Yeong-Yee, a meeting originally planned for just Goh Yoo-Joon and me.

However, our shared shyness around adults led the manager to include Yoon-Chan as well. With a matter-of-fact tone, the manager had stated that out of all the Chronos members, Yoon-Chan was most likely to win Yeong-Yee\'s affection.

Each of us held a gift for Yeong-Yee, our eyes taking in the serene countryside passing by the windows. Despite the tranquil scenery outside, a sense of turmoil brewed within me as we approached the home of our esteemed senior.

“But manager." Yoon-Chan\'s voice cut through my thoughts, his gaze fixed on the pink box in his lap. He then asked, “Is this not a gift for Yeong-Yee?"

The manager glanced at the box through the rearview mirror and nodded affirmatively. “Yes, it is."

“What\'s inside?" Goh Yoo-Joon leaned in to get a better look at the box Yoon-Chan was holding, his expression mirroring Yoon-Chan\'s curiosity. “A toy doll set?"

“To be exact, it\'s for her granddaughter.”

“Her granddaughter?”

The manager simply gave a nod in response, his silence filled with unspoken thoughts. I couldn’t help but notice his unusually pale expression through the rearview mirror. Was it just my imagination?

“We will arrive soon. If Yeong-Yee opens the door herself, greet her politely, and if not, quietly enter the house.”

“Okay!”

The car then gilded effortlessly into the expansive underground parking of the mansion.

“This is... Senior Yeon-Yee’s house? It’s... astonishingly large,” marveled Goh Yoo-Joon as he shifted his gaze around in sheer amazement.

The mansion surpassed any television rumor with its grandiosity, boasting a capacious parking area and a personal elevator.

“Yeong-Yee might be preoccupied, so let\'s walk in quietly," the manager advised softly.

“Understood.”

Pausing at the door that connected the parking area to the house, the manager took a moment, deeply inhaling and fixating on a photo on his phone\'s wallpaper.

“Manager, maybe it\'s not the best time to look at the embarrassing picture, especially with the person right here.”

“My apologies, Hyun-Woo," he said, a hint of embarrassment in his tone. It was clear that even the manager was mentally bracing himself for the encounter.

After a brief adjustment of his attire, he solemnly opened the car door. What kind of charisma did Yeong-Yee possess to evoke such nervous anticipation from our manager?

The door swung open, revealing a hallway that instantly explained the manager\'s apprehension.

“Leopard prints?" I murmured, taking in the red, butcher-shop-like lighting and the extravagant wallpaper.

The fancy corridor seemed to draw me in, its lavishness almost overwhelming. As we hesitated at the door, the manager offered us a reassuring glance before leading us up the stairs. Upon reaching the entrance that was adorned with shimmering artificial marble, he rang the doorbell.

“Is this really a house?" whispered Goh Yoo-Joon. The hint of doubt in his voice was audible only to me and Yoon-Chan. It seemed like it, but the line between a lavish home and a secluded club seemed blurred in this extraordinary setting. It was... amazing...

The manager pressed the doorbell again, and soon the front door creaked open.

“Who is there?" a youthful voice asked. After a few shakes on the doorknob, the room swung open. A large tiger painting dominated the entrance, and instinctively, my gaze dropped, unable to locate the speaker.

“Ah..." Yoon-Chan exhaled softly. In front of us stood a little girl, no older than seven, her eyes wide with curiosity.

I flinched and took a step back, but quickly regained my composure and crouched down to her eye level.

“Hello," I greeted her, receiving a cautious nod in return.

Then, with unusual warmth in his smile, the manager addressed the child, “Ro-Ah, these oppas are here to visit your grandmother. May we come in?"

“Manager, who are they?" Ro-Ah asked with a tone reflecting her uncertainty.

“They\'re friends of mine," the manager explained with a gentle voice.

With that, Ro-Ah opened the door wider, allowing us entry.

“Thank you," we expressed our gratitude, bowing politely as we passed by.

After we were inside, we felt the house\'s imposing aura intensify. The interior dazzled us with its stained glass-like marble floors, jewel-embedded red wallpaper, and striking tiger motifs. Honestly, the extravagance was almost intimidating.

As we lingered in uncertainty, the manager gestured toward a couch. “It appears she is busy. Please, take a seat here and I\'ll inform her of your arrival."

“...Alright," I responded, a mix of anticipation and apprehension tinged my voice.

The manager vanished down the corridor, leaving us under Ro-Ah\'s inquisitive gaze.

After a moment of hesitation, Yoon-Chan extended a box toward Ro-Ah. “Um, this is a gift for you."

“For me?" Ro-Ah\'s eyes widened in surprise.

“Yes, especially for Miss Ro-Ah," Yoon-Chan confirmed, presenting her with the toy doll box.

Ro-Ah examined the gift and then glanced back at Yoon-Chan with innocent curiosity.

“Did you buy this, unnie[1]?" she asked.

“...Unnie?" Yoon-Chan\'s response was one of bewildered amusement. The conversation halted, leaving Yoon-Chan momentarily speechless.

“Pfft!

Yoon-Chan, being called unnie?" Goh Yoo-Joon couldn\'t hold back his laughter, joined shortly by me. The term “unnie” for Yoon-Chan seemed amusingly inappropriate.

“Hyung..."

“Why are you calling this oppa ‘hyung,’ unnie?” Ro-Ah corrected Yoon-Chan, yet her next question only deepened his embarrassment.

“I am not unnie...”

Well, he was quite pretty, so he could be mistaken for a female from a child’s perspective.

“You are not... unnie?” Ro-Ah looked almost tearful, disappointed, and upset. It was hard to understand a child’s mind, but her cute and pitiable look was enough to bring out Yoon-Chan’s heroic side again.

“It’s okay... You can call me... unnie... That’s alright...”

“No way... pfft... Yoon-Chan...” Goh Yoo-Joon and I struggled desperately to hold back our laughter. It was unnecessary to let her call him unnie, but then again, it was a very Yoon-Chan thing to do.

However, it didn’t take long for us to realize that it wasn’t the time to laugh at Yoon-Chan.

“Oppa! Why is your hair color like that? My grandma’s hair is also red!”

“Your grandma has red hair, Ro-Ah?”

“Your hair is yellow, oppa! You are like a prince! Ro-Ah wants to have hair like oppa’s too...” Ro-Ah was fascinated by the color of my hair. She suddenly ran off and came back with a human-shaped doll. After that, she started to compare the doll’s hair color to mine.

“It’s the same as oppa’s hair color!”

“Yes, it is. Haha.”

“Can I tie your hair?”

“Tie my hair? Uh, sure, okay.” As I willingly let her handle my hair, Ro-Ah became delighted, brought a red heart-decorated elastic band, and tied up my hair.

I should not have laughed at Yoon-Chan. After all, it was hard to say no when a little child asked for something. Goh Yoo-Joon had been laughing at Yoon-Chan and me the whole time, but he wasn’t in a different situation. Ro-Ah’s next target was him.

“Can I tie your hair, too?”

“Huh? Me? Umm... okay...”

I chuckled at Goh Yoo-Joon from behind Ro-Ah. As best friends, we had to suffer together, no?

“Uh, well... your hair is nicely tied, hyung. Ro-Ah, you are good at tying hair. They look like apples now.” In the midst of this, Park Yoon-Chan came over, trying to offer some sort of consolation. But... What kind of comforting words were these?

After that, Ro-Ah made sure we didn’t untie our hair.

“Have you been waiting long?” Not long after, Yeong-Yee burst through the door into the living room, and we quickly stood up to greet her.

“Hello, Senior!”

“...What is up with your hair? Did Ro-Ah do it? Haha.”

“Ah...”

Oh, no. We ended up greeting Senior Yeong-Yee for the first time with our hair tied in heart-shaped buns.
