A rehearsal room selfie featuring Goh Yoo-Joon and Suh Hyun-Woo popped up, brimming with spoilers. Each of them had a pen in their mouth, their expressions unreadable. Their hair was damp with sweat from practice, and it contrasted well with their pristine skin. Naturally, this post set off a wave of reactions from fans.

Finally, the duo shot of the roommates I\'ve been yearning for. They are holding not pens but my dream. I will inscribe this on my tombstone when I\'m a 120-year-old granny...

Their proximity, totally discarding personal space, the pens held between their lips, their soft skin... what a perfect capture! Their cheeky grin that reminds me of kiddos is another charming point of this picture. Here\'s to more iconic duo shots. Love you guys!

The sudden snapshot on the official Chronos BlueBird account was an unexpected gift to the fans. Everyone wondered what Goh Yoo-Joon and Suh Hyun-Woo were up to, especially since both had limited their solo activities, with the exception of Suh Hyun-Woo\'s solo song gifted by Kang Joo-Han. The fans were abuzz with guesses.

But are those two cooking up something? Why am I reminded of their recent meet-up with the old Tenten member? They were not with Yoon-Chan, but could it be connected?

Could it be that Yoo-Joon and Hyun-Woo were discussing some kind of project? Like when Hyun-Woo and Jin-Sung uploaded that cover dance on UTube? The timing is right after Allure\'s comeback.

While there was much speculation, the idea that idols on a break were preparing something was exciting. Fans were reveling in the duo shot of Suh Hyun-Woo and Goh Yoo-Joon, while the two had just finished planning a perfect stage together with their temporary manager Lee Su-Hwan to match the fans\' expectations.

***

Fortunately, Yeong-Yee agreed to let Chronos\'s behind-the-scenes camera film their rehearsal, all thanks to the manager\'s persuasion. Despite the usual leniency broadcast companies showed to stars like Tenten members, our situation was different. We were set to appear on Halo\'s Music Bus, a live music talk show that demanded authentic band performances.

“I will smoothly introduce the idea of a live performance while entering with the behind-the-scenes camera. Continue practicing as you are now."

“Understood!"

The manager opened the practice room door with a grave look. Inside, Yeong-Yee was already practicing the comeback ballad. She slightly nodded in greeting, and we responded with a quiet ninety-degree bow. We were careful not to disrupt her practice by moving to a corner.

Yeong-Yee was wearing heavier makeup than usual and was obviously conscious of our camera.

- How does it feel to share the stage with such a revered senior in the dance industry?

With a wide smile, I responded, “To share the stage with a senior I\'ve admired in the dance world is nerve-wracking. I\'m so nervous I can barely breathe."

Yeong-Yee briefly met my eyes before returning to practicing her song. My respect for the senior artist and the camera seemed to have inadvertently added some pressure on Yeong-Yee.

As her song concluded, we seamlessly transitioned into practicing the Tenten medley. Aligned with that, the manager tinkered with a laptop and suggested, “Shall we try playing the MR?”

“...What?” asked Yeong-Yee.

The manager smiled, but he looked somewhat sorry to do this. “I reached out to the Halo team and learned that many Tenten fans on the Music Bus forum are eagerly anticipating Yeong-Yee\'s live performance. Considering the fans, I think it would be beneficial to give this a try at least once. What are your thoughts on this, ma’am?"

Junior singers admiring her, the camera capturing every single moment, and fans expecting a live show... On top of that, the manager\'s words were indeed rooted in truth.

“Hmm," Yeong-Yee pondered. She was always professional, yet known to be swayed by public expectations. However, the thought of performing her dance song live was daunting, presenting a challenge that involved battling her fears and revealing her true self in front of the audience.

After a moment of contemplation, she responded, “Then, shall we start by performing ‘OH! MY LOVE’ live?"

“Yes, senior!" I replied.

Tenten\'s mega-hit song, with its bright and joyful choreography, was an ideal choice for a live performance as it was simple enough to be a hit in karaoke rooms.

“...Ms. Yeong-Yee." The manager looked deeply moved by Yeong-Yee\'s bold decision, nodding appreciatively before sitting down.

“We will skip the first song ‘Twice the Love,’ and start with ‘OH! MY LOVE.’ Here\'s the MR."

The lively new jack swing beat started to fill the room. All three of us moved in sync, with hands on our hips and shoulders rolling rhythmically. As we danced, Yeong-Yee\'s soulful high notes started flowing from the MR. Goh Yoo-Joon and I started our routine with our brightest, most joyful smiles.

“YEAH, I Like you! You like me!” Goh Yoo-Joon added his English ad-libs. He delivered the line with a slightly retro pronunciation, reminiscent of the old “Yea-I-Like-You” trend, which made Yeong-Yee burst out laughing amidst her dance.

You are so smart, and that\'s your charm

Even in glasses, you are beautiful

Wow! My god!

I wish I were right beside you!?

As Goh Yoo-Joon finished his part, he playfully kissed the back of Yeong-Yee\'s hand and stepped back.

Then it was my turn to come forward. While Goh Yoo-Joon\'s deep voice was perfect for rap, I was responsible for the song\'s killing part.

I always sat by the classroom window and watched you laugh

You, popular and surrounded by friends, never even glanced my way

I lacked confidence

Couldn\'t fathom your feelings

Sassy you, now please look at me?

I performed the killing part[1] with all the mischievous charm I had developed in “Blue Room Party,” creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. I even raised my voice a tone higher than usual, which seemed to delight Yeong-Yee.

As the male members\' parts concluded, it was time for the chorus—Yeong-Yee\'s moment. I retreated to stand beside her. She then restrained her dance moves and started singing with a slightly tense expression.

It\'s the same for me

You are always surrounded by friends

But I\'m always there, watching you

But I lack the courage to speak

I\'m waiting, why won\'t you come to me

Just take a chance, tell me you love me?

She performed so admirably that I wondered why she ever doubted herself. Yeong-Yee seemed surprised by how well the live performance was going, singing with a puzzled look as if wondering, “Why is this working?”

To be honest, I had anticipated this outcome. As a former dance singer skilled in ballads, she was bound to handle a live performance well, despite any choreographic challenges. As we completed the medley, we all silently acknowledged, \'Hey, this is pretty good.\'

After a moment, Yeong-Yee cautiously suggested, “Shall we also try ‘Twice the Love?’"

She seemed enthused by her first foray into live dance performances after nearly forty years since debut, so her suggestion was met with great enthusiasm from us. We nodded excitedly, all smiles.

“Yes!" we agreed.

With a look of pride, the manager announced, “We will play ‘Twice the Love,’ then. Hyun-Woo, Yoo-Joon, remember to focus on harmony as you did last time, and Ms. Yeong-Yee, please be mindful of your joints. If it gets too challenging, feel free to switch to lighter movements."

“Su-Hwan, you know I\'m adept at switching to lighter movements," Yeong-Yee quipped, readying herself.

The MR for “Twice the Love” then started to play. As the opening song of the medley, among Tenten\'s medley, it was known for its intense dance routine, unlike “OH! MY LOVE.”

Considering her age, Yeong-Yee opted to wait in the back during the intro, leaving the acrobatic choreography to Goh Yoo-Joon and me. Although the dance routine wasn’t particularly difficult, it involved so many leg movements that it felt more like an exercise disguised as a dance, resulting in extreme physical exertion. The highlight of this song’s choreography was the backflip by the male members.

I did the backflip as I was lighter than Goh Yoo-Joon.

“Wow!”

“Dang, well done!”

As I performed the backflip successfully, Yeong-Yee and Goh Yoo-Joon showered me with praises, visibly impressed. I then retreated to my position, feeling a pleasant sense of accomplishment slowly rising within me.

Heyaomma Heyya Um

Aiyawumma Aiyaa Um

Haiyawumma Ai Um?

The song started with peculiar chants. The charm of this song lay in the first verse, where Yeong-Yee awkwardly danced a robotic movement while singing. Unlike “OH! MY LOVE,” this song required dancing and singing simultaneously. I wondered if Yeong-Yee would be alright with this, so I looked at her with a hint of concern.

But then...

I realized the moment I saw you

You and I are deeply entwined by fate?

Perhaps thanks to the good vibes from the song we had done earlier, Yeong-Yee’s voice and expression were filled with confidence, a stark contrast to her previous worried expression.
