Chapter 261: Back To Turbine Town (3)

Chapter 261: Back To Turbine Town (3)

"Vice-Boss, what happened?" the two soldiers approached the Satella dressed in something they\'ve never seen before. But as they came closer, the zombies started to get more aggressive and ran past her.

The zombie\'s target wasn\'t Satella, but the two soldiers with a human\'s smell.

But it was quickly perceived by the soldiers that the prototype exoskeleton might be the case. Since it was assembled in a hurry using recycled parts from here and there, each prototype looked slightly different. Some of them were a tad heavier due to the lack of time to purposely remake the parts.

He could print the parts out, but since all machines were operating from day to night, there\'s no time for them to wait for the printer to cool down before handling something else.

Instead, they use the time from cooling down and setting up before it was ready to continue printing.

And since the design of this prototype is still new and unavailable in the printing record, the department heads would have to get the specific measurement in detail to create a mold. And from the mold, it would take a little longer until this part is perfect for replacement.

While it sounded simple, only the engineers behind all these works knew how hard it can be.

Relying on the Centurion Rifle in their hand, the soldiers quickly took down the zombies coming at them. They don\'t even have the chance to get nervous.

The farthest zombie was at least two hundred meters away from them. One of them remained alert as the other approached Satella to check with her about what happened. They\'re still puzzled with why Satella is standing there without doing anything.

\'Vice-Boss, what are you…" the soldier asked. But before he could finish with what he had to say, something happened.

One signal was lost on Marvin\'s tablet computer that records and stores the exoskeleton performance chart. The sudden disappearance of the signal quickly caught Marvin\'s attention.

\'What\'s wrong with the signal?\' he tapped on the tablet computer and went into the setting mode to check if there\'s a circuit shortage or whatsoever.

And it gets more puzzling because the Luna Device signal was gone in the next moment.

Footsteps were approaching the soldier with his back facing his colleague and Satella. He was still paying attention to his surrounding, but not around him.

"Is the Vice-Boss alright?" the soldier asked. Instead of a reply, what he got was a pat on his shoulder that tries to turn him around. Due to the thickness of his protective clothing, he could hardly discern if its the hand of a male or female, but he knew that only the two could have come to him in a few light footsteps.

The zombie\'s walking speed was too slow and heavy.

But he regrets the moment he turned.

He was greeted by the sight of Satella with a loose jaw that looks like it was bitten off. His colleague was kneeling on the ground where Satella was standing earlier.

This soldier knew that he fucked up. The soldier immediately slapped the Luna Device on his wrist as swiftly as possible to report what was happening. But all he could was a few words before he got his throat bitten by the fake Satella clone.

"Uuk! Vice-Boss!" that was all he got to say before a hole appeared on his throat from the fake Satella\'s bite.

At the same time, Marvin\'s tablet computer had a blip that went off again. The first time might be an electronic malfunction, but not when it was repeating the second time. Especially not at this moment.

Marvin immediately pressed the emergency button on his tablet computer. Everyone\'s Luna Device vibrated berserkly to announce the dreadness of the situation.

This caught Satella\'s attention right away while she was helping another soldier to lift a concrete out of their path. She first thought that something might have interrupted the connection while the soldier screamed for her, but now, it was otherwise.

Based on how much she knew about Marvin, he was not a person that would simply press this emergency button.

Satella immediately gathered the remaining soldiers to her position, and the sight beyond this concrete block was one that not even she could have imagined.

She saw a clone that resembles her, except for the chest portion, of course… Rallying the zombies without making any sound as a Tyrant or Screamer does.

"This was something new…" she said. The Thunderbolt in her hand was activated right away as she fired a few suppression shots at her clone that was likely the head of this zombie pack.

The ammunition she had is evidently more powerful than the one focusing on paralyzing the gangsters back in Zhang Qin Feng\'s world. Getting shot by one of Satella\'s Thunderbolt Ammunition with 100,000 volts is a one-way ticket to hell as a cinderblock.

It was counted as an honor for the clone to be sent off by Satella, using three bullets instead of one.

But nothing could\'ve gone wrong more than this. The Satella clone not only managed to survive through the three surges of electricity discharge but screamed for the first time. That scream turned the aggression mode on the zombie as they went mad.

The motorway turned into hell in a flash.

"Take Marvin and run! Soldiers! Defend this spot with your life!" Satella shouted. Her instruction went right into their ears through the Luna Device\'s forceful sound transmission and alerted everyone present.

Right now, all Marvin had in mind is a hint of regret about why didn\'t they turn the direction of their car back where they came from? If the head of the truck was facing where it should from the start, they wouldn\'t be a need to reverse the car like what they\'re doing right now.

Meanwhile, Satella was doing her best with seven other soldiers in keeping the zombies busy. On the other hand, her clone was standing in the middle of the zombie swarm and still filling her belly with the bodily fluid left in the zombies.

"You piece of sh*t!" Satella focused her fire on the clone.
