[Boon obtained: That\'s Mental, Over, Unbreakable]

Oh wow, three boons this time eh?

[That\'s Mental] gives me resistance to mental forces trying to affect me. So if someone was trying to mind control me, it would be harder for them to do so.

Sure, my unique skill [Mind Shield] uses mana to protect my mind from external influences which may make this look redundant but it\'s an active skill while the boon is a passive.

So if I fail to activate the unique skill before I get affected, I would just simply go under the spell like what happens when I don\'t prepare before Delmare starts singing.

This boon should allow me to protect myself from the effects from taking root immediately and buy me time to activate my skill before I lose my mind so that\'s definitely good.

For the next one, [Over] also serves to protect my mind from being overwhelmed. If I remember the description of it, it would allow me to take more stress before having a panic attack, more pain before losing consciousness and also more anger before lashing out.

It also increases the threshold of tolerance for me so I don\'t lose my mind too much like in cases of having mind blowing sex.

Last but not least, [Unbreakable] basically gives me theoretically infinite stamina.

I say theoretically because the skill allows me to stop myself from being tired no matter how hard I exert myself. However, I would still slow down if it goes past a certain limit because of hunger, dehydration or lack of energy.

Still really useful in my opinion.

Welp, that\'s another year and I will have to say that this time the things I received weren\'t bad and definitely useful so I\'m happy with it.

I went into the portal and I braced myself to slow down my fall but it turned out that wasn\'t necessary because I immediately dropped on top of my bed.

"Aster… Aster…" I heard my name being whispered the moment I came through and I looked to the side to see Lisa in my bed and under the covers.

She was rocking herself back and forth and her face was buried in my pillow and she was clearly naked as well.

Wow… Really? I mean ok… I\'m actually not surprised to see her doing that but I was only gone a night you know? And it\'s not like we didn\'t do it last night either…

My gaze drifted past her to settle on a plate that had been left on the bedside table. On top of said plate was a slice of cake that I knew was baked by Lisa for the party yesterday and there was a part of the cake that was missing, presumably eaten by my Infrid.

She really did put aphrodisiacs into the cake didn\'t she?

"Lisa?" I called out to her.

I skipped over to the cake and used the fork left on the plate to cut a piece of it to bring it to my mouth.

I let the cake slide off the fork and onto my tongue.

I chewed on the cake and it was definitely sweet. I taste chocolate with strawberry cream, white chocolate chips and chocolate fudge… And yes, there were definitely aphrodisiacs mixed into it so that was not surprising.

The aphrodisiac wasn\'t really working though, since it looks like it was a diluted mixture and my [Iron Gut] boon was already neutralising it before it could take effect.

The reason why I was confused was the fact that I didn\'t go into the usual shivering and fawning of the sweet that I was eating like before.

I mean… I would understand if I thought the cake was bad but I definitely did not. Like I even thought the cake was actually good.

Not as good as the sweets that Mary would make but it was definitely good enough that I think I should have reacted the same way I would have when eating any other sweet.

Is it because the cake was laced with aphrodisiacs that affected my taste?

I went over to my Pack of Folding and took out the plates until I found some of the sweets that I had kept in there as my stash.

The first thing I went for were the cookies which I definitely remember shivering after I ate them so I already knew how I sssshould react.

I tossed that into my mouth and…

Wait… Ok… I did go into that state but… It didn\'t even last a second before I was out of it…

Is it because I still had the taste of Lisa\'s cake in my mouth?

I started stuffing even more of my sweets into my mouth but no matter what I ate, the sweet feeling never lasted for more than a few seconds before I returned back to myself.

Why is this happening? Did these sweets lose their taste after I put them in my Pack of Folding for so long?
