Chapter 49: One Thousand Years of Death!

Zhang Xiao Qiang watched as Yang Ke’er prepared to go face the D2, and his ego and chauvinistic side reared its head, forgetting his fear towards the D2 and quickly overtook her to walk in front of her.

“I’m an otaku! I’m also a man, and men always have to lead!”

He kept chanting that to himself, as though it could force the fear of the D2 to the back of his mind!

Zhang Xiao Qiang and Yang Ke’er stood by the tractor and awaited the arrival of the D2, causing Zhang Xiao Qiang to reminisce about the old nonsensical films. The hero would usually wait quietly, without fear, just peace, and serenity, for the final fight! He would then die, and the evil demon king who wanted to destroy the world would perish with him! And all of humanity would remember him for eternity!

“When I die, will there by anyone who remembers me?” Zhang Xiao Qiang chuckled at himself and turned to look at Yang Ke’er.

Yang Ke’er, on the other hand, was not nervous. Instead, she looked positively excited. It was the same fervent towards an imminent boss fight. She felt as though the D2 was taking its time, and her right foot was tapping the ground constantly. The Beast Horn Spear was stuck into the ground repeatedly in rhythm as well, causing a small hole to appear on the ground.

Seeing how relaxed Yang Ke’er was, Zhang Xiao Qiang also began to loosen up, observing the nearing dot in the distance.

“Seems like the ‘La Marseillaise’ song?” Hearing the rhythm of Yang Ke’er’s tapping, it brought some memories back for Zhang Xiao Qiang. “Shall we have some ‘Panzerlied’ then?” Watching the D2 approaching slowly, he felt even more relaxed.

“Wa! What a monstrous creature, it looks even bulkier than Arnold Schwarzenegger!”*

Yang Ke’er was shocked when she saw the D2. She had never thought that the normal zombies that she saw could become such a bulky mass.

“Stop gaping there, hurry and prepare! It’s about to reach!” Zhang Xiao Qiang readied his Type 54 and checked the ammunition in it. With a ‘Ka’ sound, he aimed at the D2.

He held the gun in his hands but was not as confident in his heart. Only God knows if the bullet could penetrate!

As the D2 reached the range which the gun could fire, he still didn’t pull the trigger. He had no confidence that he could hit it from 50m away, and he could not bear to waste the bullets.

The D2 was about 2.5m tall and was even larger than the previous one that Zhang Xiao Qiang encountered. Its head was gleaming without a single strand of hair, unlike the ordinary zombies that had at least a few strands. Its eyelids were closed shut, not revealing its pupils. It had huge trapezius muscles and looked like a chunk of wall.

Its movements were not very fast, but because its strides were huge, it could match a person at jogging speed. Both its thigh and calf muscles were taut and bulging, and its blackened skin looked like a piece of steel, that changed shape as it continued to advance.

“Peng” When the D2 got to about 30m, the 54 in Zhang Xiao Qiang’s hands went off. He ignored the recoil from the gun and kept his gaze on the D2.

It had just stopped for a moment before continuing to advance, the bullets had no effect on it!

“Peng peng....” Zhang Xiao Qiang continued to fire, and the recoil caused him to lose all feeling in his wrist.

5 of the 6 shots landed on the D2, and it was seemingly ticked off by the pain, as it bellowed and increased its pace.

Seeing the D2 running towards them, Zhang Xiao Qiang hastily tried to reload. His blind faith towards guns caused him to only hurry to reload and try again!

“Ya!” Yang Ke’er let out a shrill shout as she raised her Beast Horn Spear to meet the D2, it was truly a newborn calf not fearing a tiger!

When he finished reloading, he saw Yang Ke’er stepping up to meet the D2, and he cursed out before keeping the gun and taking the Beast Horn Spear to chase after her.

Compared to the 2.5m D2, Yang Ke’er was just like a little doll, and she could only see up to the waist, any further up, she would have to tilt her head.

She raised the Beast Horn Spear with both hands, circling around the D2, before violently hitting the D2’s thigh. “Beng” A sound rang out like she was like hitting a drum and causing a hole in the skin!

The D2 stumbled forwards before steadying itself, raising its left shoulder like it was about to smack a fly.

Yang Ke’er was shocked numb by the vibration resulting from that hit when the D2 suddenly swung its left shoulder and knocked the Beast Horn Spear, which bounced back violently.

The rebounded Beast Horn Spear knocked into Yang Ke’er with its rebar shaft, and the huge force sent her flying a few meters away, landing on the cold hard ground. She fainted without being able to hold on to the spear, as it dropped to one side as well.

The D2 didn’t seem to care that it was bullying a young girl, as it turned its attention towards the passed-out Yang Ke’er.

Seeing that she was in danger, Zhang Xiao Qiang forgot his fear entirely and charged towards the butt of the D2.

With the elements of nature and time, there was only a belt holding up a tattered pair of pants below the waist of the D2. The pants could not cover the enlarged parts of the D2, and even the inner pants had already ripped and were gone.

Through the torn and tattered clothes of the D2, Zhang Xiao Qiang caught sight of its bumhole. Without time to think, through his many years of ninja training, he finally could employ this one skill. “Pu” the Beast Horn Spear was thrust out viciously into the D2’s anus, and it immediately stopped in its tracks and shuddered.

Zhang Xiao Qiang’s blood had rushed to his brain, and in his adrenaline-filled state, he didn’t know that he had pierced directly into the D2’s bumhole, only forging through with his constant practice of twisting the spear. The Beast Horn was already in a spiral pattern, and with his constant twisting, it was driven further into the D2’s bum like a corkscrew being drilled into a bottle of wine.

With evolution, the senses of the evolved zombies were heightened. Just like the ordinary zombies that could not smell Zhang Xiao Qiang earlier, but the D2 had caught his scent. Therefore, while tearing into its bumhole did not count for much, it drove the D2 nuts because of its heightened senses, and it became more enraged.

Like previously, the D2 had also been barely scratched by Zhang Xiao Qiang and it had chased him down like a dog with a bone, ignoring all other scents of blood, to the point it tore the entire coach up. What more could be said about now?

“Hou hou hou!!!!” The D2 unleashed an angry roar as it turned around in a bid to swat at Zhang Xiao Qiang.

Zhang Xiao Qiang was only preoccupied with twisting the Beast Horn Spear, not caring about anything else. The only thought in his mind was: “Don’t let the girl die, the D2 is huge, I need twist it more!”

Zhang Xiao Qiang focused his entire attention on drilling the D2’s bumhole, and his thoughts were brought to a distant memory of him helping customers to uncork wine at a restaurant job. The current Beast Horn Spear in his hands was about 2m-long, with 80% of it the actual Beast Horn, of which 40% had already been drilled in. Just as he was drilling with all his might, the spear was suddenly swung one direction, and Zhang Xiao Qiang who was holding onto the spear tightly was also swung together with it.

The D2 reached out and grabbed thin air, but could still feel that there was something stuck in its bumhole. It continued to twist around over and over again to reach the pest, but all it grabbed was thin air.

Zhang Xiao Qiang continued holding on tightly, following the movements of the D2 as he ran. It felt like he was on the stormy seas, being here one moment and there the next. He had long since regained his clarity, but he didn’t dare let go, for fear of the D2 crushing his bones the moment it caught him.

If Yang Ke’er were to wake up now, she would find that the scene was oddly familiar, like a game of Eagles and Chicks that she used to play when she was young. The D2 was the eagle, and Zhang Xiao Qiang was the chick. The D2’s bumhole was the mother hen.

Zhang Xiao Qiang was now on the verge of tears, even though he had no tears to cry out. Why was it that he had to be in such situations every time? He couldn’t move up nor down, and he hung on dearly for life.

The skin on his hands was beginning to split, and they felt like they were on fire. In addition to the friction, it felt like pouring salt over a bleeding wound. Zhang Xiao Qiang was swung around continuously by the D2, and he was beginning to feel light-headed. He didn’t know how long more he could hold on, while Yang Ke’er still laid there lifelessly, her condition uncertain.

TN:

It actually says governor there, but I have no idea which governor, hence I used Arnie as he was the first thought that came to mind.

Anybody got the Naruto reference?
