Chapter 24 - I Want To Be A Piece Of Trash Too
"What? You want me to drink with a customer?"
Hearing Iris\'s request, Jeanne was so angry she wanted to smash her phone.
"Is there a problem with that? Don\'t forget your position. You\'re just an ordinary sales employee now. Isn\'t it normal for a sales employee to drink with customers?
"Of course, you don\'t have to go if you don\'t want to. Just give me a resignation letter now and I\'ll let you leave right away. How does that sound?"
Jeanne gritted her teeth and finally said, "Fine, I\'ll go!"
In the director\'s office, Iris hung up the phone with a wicked smile on her face.
She dialed Carter\'s number.
"She agreed to go."
Carter laughed sinisterly at the other end of the phone. "Good job. We\'ll be able to watch a good show tonight!"
In Felix District.
Augustus got a call from Jeanne.
"Tell Mom that I\'ll be accompanying a customer tonight. I won\'t be back for dinner."
"Accompany a customer?"
Augustus knew Jeanne\'s temper. This woman had always been cold and aloof, and hated social parties the most. Why was today an exception?
He was just about to ask the details but she had already hung up.
Hearing the end call beep on the phone, a trace of suspicion flashed in Augustus\'s eyes.
In the evening, Jeanne and two colleagues from the sales department went to Hotel Auspice.
The customer they had to entertain today was Dexter Fox, the chairman of Yorkfire Corporation.
The dinner went well at the beginning, but one time when Jeanne returned from the restroom, she noticed something strange.
As soon as she entered the room, she realized that her two colleagues had disappeared, leaving only Dexter alone.
"Where did Joey and the others go?"
"Oh, they probably went to the washroom. Nevermind them. Director Harrington, come and sit down!"
Dexter said and pulled out the chair next to him, gesturing for Jeanne to take a seat.
Jeanne frowned slightly.
She knew a little about Dexter. He was a famous bully in Halmont City. He started as a loan shark before and only later started getting involved in the pharmaceutical industry.
Dexter was also a notorious womanizer. Rumor had it that he had seven or eight female secretaries. He was a typical lecher.
When they were eating, Jeanne noticed him looking at her with lustful eyes, as if he wanted to devour her.
Now that there were only the two of them left in the room, Jeanne felt even more insecure.
Reason told her that the wisest move would be to leave immediately.
However, when she came, Iris gave her an order. If she did not seal the contract with Yorkfire Corporation, Iris would report to their Grandmother and chase Jeanne out of Harrington Corporation!
After hesitating for a moment, Jeanne finally sat down.
Dexter nodded in satisfaction and brazenly swept his gaze over Jeanne\'s body.
Jeanne wore a sapphire blue dress today. The black girdle showed off her slender waist and also emphasized her voluptuous bosom.
The deadliest part was that under her dress, her slender legs were wrapped in a pair of black stockings, making Dexter\'s mouth go dry at the sight.
In fact, Dexter had long heard of this beautiful director from Harrington Corporation. He had invited her countless times, but she had always rejected him. Unexpectedly, he finally got what he wanted today!
Feeling the other party\'s hot gaze, Jeanne frowned slightly and quickly used her hands to cover her legs.
"President Fox, have you thought about the contract? When can we sign it?"
"Don\'t worry, Director Harrington. Since you came personally, I\'ll certainly sign the contract."
Jeanne was surprised, "Really?"
"Of course."
Dexter grinned and continued, "I\'m staying in the hotel upstairs. Just bring the contract and look for me in my room later."
Jeanne froze. "President Fox, what does that mean?"
Dexter looked sly. "You\'re a smart person, Director Harrington. You should understand what I mean…"
As he spoke, he reached out to touch Jeanne\'s leg.
Jeanne quickly got up in fright. "President Fox, please show some respect. I\'m not the kind of person you think I am. Besides, I\'m already married!"
Dexter snickered. "Married? Are you talking about that piece of trash?"
"You\'re not allowed to say that about my husband!"
"Why? Did I say anything wrong? A man like him who can\'t do anything and has to rely on you to feed him. What is he but trash?"
Now that there were only the two of them left in the room, Dexter showed his true colors and spoke bluntly.
His gaze roamed around Jeanne\'s body greedily and he said, "But that trash really has a good life. Not only is he being kept by you, but he can also sleep with a beauty like you every night. I want to be a piece of trash too! Hahaha…"
Dexter\'s words only further disgusted Jeanne. She did not want to stay any longer in the same room as this man who had dirty thoughts for her.
"Since you don\'t want to sign the contract, there\'s nothing left to say. Goodbye!"
Jeanne opened the door and left.
However, she realized that the door had been locked and could not be opened!
"Hahaha, do you think you can leave after falling into my hands? Service me well first, and then we\'ll talk…"
Dexter pounced on Jeanne with an insidious smile.
