Chapter 452 - Son Of A B*t*h*
Glass at the tip of her lips. All it takes is a sip and the moment of decision to shape the destiny of the little life growing inside her. At the last moment, Leena held back. Her Francy always tells her not to eat anything given by a stranger. Harm can come in any form. \'Enger will not directly harm me, but if he knows I am pregnant..I can\'t take the risk.\'
The doctor checked her pulse and heartbeat. Did she find out and tell him? According to the research she did yesterday, it\'s not possible to guess the early days of pregnancy without running proper tests. Be it her motherly protective instincts or this suspicious place. Her evil third eye was blinking inside her mind with no hesitation. Her sixth sense set a supernatural order to follow her intuition. Without a second thought, Leena put the glass back into the cart..
\'\'Call him.\'\' She said. A confrontation with him is needed today.
\'\'Huh?\'\' Aunt Milana stared at her without blinking her eyes.
\'\'Bring that bastard who kidnapped me.\'\'
Aunt Milana motioned the maid to fetch the psycho. She didnot show it on her face, but a sense of excitement danced within her. Is the psycho going to get bashings today?
Like greased lightning, the door opened, and the maid came in first, followed by the man Leena loathed from every fiber of her cell. \'Son of a bitch, at last, you showed your face. You are dead meat today. I have been waiting to tear your ass for a long time.\'
Enger signaled the maid and Aunt Milana to leave. The maid went out, but aunt Milana stood there like a statue like his words didnot reach her ears. He didnot mind her presence a hindrance. She knew what sort of man he was but never spoke her mind.
After hearing from aunt Milana that Leena woke up, Enger stood by Leena\'s room but didnot dare enter inside. He expected surprise, screams, \'eyes wide open in surprise\' scenes, but the reality was far graver. Leena stared at him, her face as calm as still waters. Did she guess it was him who kidnapped her? She must have! \'\'Leena, let me clear things. I know you learned Devin\'s memories through Morvena. This is all sudden to digest.\'\' Enger began the explanation. \'\'I can explain_\'\'
\'\'I have no mood to listen to your dramas.\'\' She cut him off, pointing her eyes to the dishes. \'\'What have you put in this?\'\'
Panic ratcheted up a notch at the sight of her swirling eyes drilling deep into his bones. Still, Enger composed his stance and calmly explained. \'\'Nothing. The dishes are highly nutritious.\'\'
\'\'No poison?\'\' She tilted her head.
Enger stared at her, his eyes squeezed shut in agony. Her every word jabbed his heart. He is a monster with no feelings, but the same monster would worship this goddess. He would kill himself before he got the thought to hurt her. \'\'Why are you testing me? Don\'t you know that I never harm you_\'\'
\'\'Prove it.\'\' She interrupted him again and directed her focus on the juice.
All he wanted was to kill the fetus without hurting his beloved. Unlike her, the juice would do nothing to him. Without any hesitation, Enger picked the glass and took a couple of sips. \'\'See. Nothing happened. I wouldn\'t have dared to drink if I had put the poison.\'\' How can she think that he would harm her? She has been his life ever since he understood what\'s love meant. \'\'Drink this. Don\'t starve yourself.\'\'
Without accepting, Leena gazed at the glass and smiled at him, somewhere between a sardonic wit and a malicious glee. \'\'There is a term for the food that was savored and defiled by someone—a LEFTOVER! I don\'t even feed my pup the food eaten by someone else, let alone me?\'\'
Her fearless attitude made him fall for this beauty more and more. \'\'Do you know my love for you deepening every passing day.\'\' With her eyes focused on him, he decided to let out his feelings today. \'\'My confession may come at the wrong time, but I have been waiting to tell you this, Leena. I love you.\'\' He imagined confessing Leena most romantically, but it never worked with Devin surrounding her. \'\'Do you remember the boy you gave a band-aid. It was me. I would send bananas every day with Winter because you love them. I have loved you ever since I was young. I can\'t imagine my life without you. I agree that I lied to you about being your mysterious friend. That was the only mistake I made.\'\'
\'\'One mistake?\'\' She scoffed at him for having the thought of owning her. \'\'You claimed yourself as my savior, stole Devin\'s phone, almost killed Winter because she would be a hindrance to pursue me in the future. You introduced yourself as my friend to get close to me. You created a misunderstanding between us, so that I will leave Devin. When it didnot work, you planted a bug in my ear to know what was happening around Devin and me. Do you still call it one mistake?\'\'
Enger didnot speak, for he was a loss at words.
\'\'You played the game very well by cashing Devin\'s memories. You might have stolen Devin\'s phone and used his memories, but you failed to investigate one thing that only he and I knows.\'\' She smiled. \'\'My first kiss with the savior. On the night Devin saved me from the accident, I kissed him which you failed to answer when I asked you."
Enger\'s eyes went wide in surprise with the revelation. He remembered Leena once called him to meet him at the restaurant. She talked about his girlfriends and other personal stuff. He felt delighted that Leena moved friendly with him. So, the truth is to confirm her suspicions?
\'\'I knew it all along, and not to forget the assassination attempt you did on my husband. A shame on you to come behind a married woman.\'\'
