Chapter 15
Chapter 15: I’ll Introduce A Girlfriend To You
“Old radios like these are extinct now. It’s good enough that you maintained it from getting rusty, repairing it would be impossible.”
Kaiden gave up after pondering for a while.
It would be difficult to find parts of an ancient plaything like that, not to mention repairing it.
Moreover, the contents would not be restored even if the radio was fixed so he would rather not waste his effort to repair it.
“Is there really no hope at all?”
Jazmine became upset after hearing the affirmation again although she expected it.
“Of course. Can’t you tell how old this thing is? It is basically an antique already when we were young. Getting spare parts for it would be difficult, not to mention repairing it.”
Jazmine felt a chill inside as Kaiden’s words extinguished her hope.
“What’s wrong? Is the radio that important to you?”
Noticing Jazmine’s soulless expression, Kaiden asked out of curiosity.
It seemed like she had the radio around her since she was very young. Logically, she should be able to get over a broken radio easily because of her background. Also, he never saw her carrying a radio with her all day when they were young.
Looking at Kaiden’s curious expression, Jazmine who was going to answer regained her senses and realized that she almost told him the reason.
“Why are you asking so many questions? It’s none of your business.”
Jazmine approached him mysteriously all of a sudden, “No matter what, you did me a favor and I am not an ungrateful person.”
“I have a close friend, she’s really pretty and she has a similar family background to mine. Do you want me to introduce her to you?”
“You are in your prime years to get a girlfriend, not to mention your age matches hers. You’re going to be an attractive couple, like a match made in heaven!”
“I can introduce my other friends to you if you don’t like her. You’re young, it’s fine to get into more relationships!”
“You will definitely meet one or two girls that you like as time passes. You can hold a grand wedding then and I will definitely prepare you the wedding rings myself!”
“Don’t girls dislike elusive guys?”
“Are you forbidding others to do what you’re doing yourself now?”
Kaiden was alarmingly confused. He could not keep up with Jazmine’s thinking although they were of similar age.
Jazmine who was unsettled about the radio finally burst into laughter when she saw his confused face, the unhappiness within her dispersed instantly.
“Hahaha… You’re right but somehow, I don’t feel repulsed at the thought of you being elusive out there. Hahaha…”
She figured that she would never mind him doing anything because she was spoiling him a little too much!
“I’m gonna stop fooling around. We should head downstairs for dinner. Auntie announced that dinner was ready when you were taking a bath.”
Jazmine left the room with the radio without any hesitation, leaving a faint scent and her temperature on the bed at the position she was sitting.
Kaiden went to the dining room after smoothening out the wrinkles on the bed. Everyone was already seated in their respective seats and he was the last to arrive.
“Alright, everyone’s here. Let’s eat!”
Alexandra gave Kaiden a set of cutlery thoughtfully and her act gained the attention of the other girls again.
However, they were smart enough to keep quiet about it this time. The atmosphere at the dining table became extremely complex as they simply focused on their food.
The seemingly peaceful dinner time was actually secretly intense.
*Clash!*
Two forks collided mid-air as they targeted a piece of lean meat on a plate.
The two holding the forks went into a stalemate as the both of them were refusing to budge.
“Von, are you seriously going against me for this piece of meat?” Luna glared at Yvonne with her eyes bulged.
“Look, I reached it with my fork first. You are the one who’s robbing me!”
Tension rose at the dining table as Yvonne refused to compromise.
Jazmine was not at the least surprised with the scene. She continued devouring her food calmly and making a satisfied expression from time to time.
“Alex, look at her! She’s picking on me again for a piece of meat. You have to do me justice!”
Luna turned to Alexandra suddenly and pouted sorrowfully.
Alexandra was well aware of what her unreasonable sisters were doing. In short, they were acting out on purpose to avoid getting married to Kaiden.
She lamented internally at how they never saved her from worry despite their age.
“That’s enough. There’s plenty of meat here, isn’t these enough for the two of you? If you like the fats so much, they’re all yours.”
Alexandra split the greasy meat dish into two portions and distributed all of them to Luna and Yvonne’s plate.
“They’re all yours! Eat more if you like them so much. Don’t waste your food! You are not allowed to leave the table until you finish them!”
Luna and Yvonne’s discontented little trick was defeated into nothing by their sister’s imposing manner.
Staring at the fatty meat cubes on her plate, Yvonne wanted to die.
She hated fatty meats, especially big chunks like these.
All she wanted was to worsen Kaiden’s impression of her by her trifling daily habits. She did not expect that she would go out for wool and come home shorn.
“Luna, I don’t think I should be fighting with you. Here, take all of these. I should’ve compromised, you’re my youngest sister.”
An idea sparked within Yvonne’s mind and she pushed the meat from her plate to Luna’s plate subsequently.
‘Luna, dear, sorry about that!’
