Chapter 78 - Stick To You
"What\'s this? Is it from last night?" she whispered before she stepped into the shower. After putting on her clothes, she went out of her bedroom and walked into the kitchen to get something to eat but halted when she saw a familiar figure in her kitchen. Her jaw dropped as she queried, \'Cedric?\'
Did she miss him so much that she had started hallucinating about him? How come Cedric was here, in her kitchen, wearing her apron and cooking?
Brione pinched herself and groaned.
"Ouch!"
It came out a bit too loudly and made Cedric look her way, their eyes meeting.
"Good morning, Sweetheart. I took the liberty to cook for you in your kitchen," he smiled brightly like the rays of the sun. He looked so gorgeous that Brione felt her heart throb and her face blush.
"You\'re here!!!!" she whispered. So last night, she had seen him? It was not some lucid dream?
Cedric removed the apron from his body and replied, "Yup, I\'m here, in the flesh, so sit down here and let\'s enjoy our breakfast. The food is ready and I will just serve it for you, milady."
Cedric held her shoulders and led her to sit on the kitchen counter and kissed her head when she sat. Then he walked back to get some plates and serve her breakfast as if it was his own kitchen.
Let\'s eat here. I prefer you close." Cedric winked and sat on the opposite side of the counter.
"How?" Brione muttered, still filled with disbelief.
"I arrived at your place around one in the morning. I asked Berry and Mitch to help me enter your penthouse. I wanted to surprise you but you\'re in such a deep sleep that I felt bad waking you up so instead, I decided to just sleep beside you.
Brione looked at his wet hair and concluded that it was probably Cedric who had used her bathroom and here she was thinking that it was from last night and it hadn\'t dried properly after her shower last night.
"What\'s with the frown? Aren\'t you happy to see me?" Cedric mumbled with a pout. He looked so cute that Brione could not help pinching his cheeks.
"I\'m happy of course. I\'m just surprised to see you. I mean I thought you have been busy and so you must be tired from traveling. You should have woken me up to cook instead while you rested a little while more," Brione said, smiling sweetly at him.
Cedric smiled and whispered, "You can still cook for me later and over the next few days."
"You will stay for a few days?" Brione burst and Cedric nodded.
"Aren\'t you needed in the Palace?" Brione asked worriedly because she did not want Cedric slacking on his duties as a Prince because of her. It would leave a bad impression on his father and she did not want that to happen. She wanted his father to have a good impression of her.
"Hmm, let\'s eat first, Sweetheart, then we can talk about it over coffee later," Cedric said and put an omelet on Brione\'s plate along with some mashed potato.
"Something easy to prepare," Cedric chuckled.
"This looks tasty," Brione complimented him and started to eat.
"Hmm, yummy…" she said with a smile and signaled Cedric to start eating as well.
After breakfast, Brione looked at Cedric and said, "You go wait in the living area. I\'ll take care of the dishes. I will serve the coffee."
Brione moved and quickly put the dishes into her sink. She flinched when she felt Cedric\'s chest on her back and his arms around her waist hugging her close to him.
"I missed you so much Bri that I just want to stick to you like this," Cedric whispered in her ear, making a quiver run through her body.
She smiled and tried to calm her shivering body as she said, "Go now and wait for me out there. I will bring us some coffee first."
She gulped and bit her lower lip when she felt Cedric\'s lips on her neck.
She suppressed a moan but her head moved back to his chest, giving Cedric easy access. But Cedric stopped and turned her around to face him. He lifted her chin with his hand and caressed her cheek before he leaned down to capture her lips.
Brione accepted his kiss but Cedric ended it quickly and left her saying, "I will wait for you in the living room, Sweetheart."
Brione\'s face crumpled and she felt very disappointed that their kiss had ended just like that. She prepared a caramel macchiato just like she usually prepared for Gavin.
"Sorry I forgot to ask what kind of coffee you want. I prefer a caramel macchiato, but do you want something different?" Brione said as she placed coffee mugs on a tray.
"I prefer it too so this is good," Cedric whispered.
Brione sat beside him and handed him his cup.
"Do you think you can come to the palace with me, Bri? My father wants to meet you." Cedric asked. He was a bit nervous as he hoped and waited for Brione to say yes.
"Sure, when do we leave? My drama will start sometime next week and I think I will be very busy after that though I could try and take some time if needed," Brione answered.
"Can we leave as soon as you\'re able to?" Cedric asked.
"Hmm, I knew it. You can\'t stay long as you\'re definitely needed in the palace. Between us two, your schedule is more important, so next time you can just ask me to fly over to you instead of you coming here," Brione added. Usually, the crew and staff adjusted to her schedule whenever they shoot her movie or drama so she was more flexible compared to Cedric.
"Thank you," Cedric whispered with a lovely smile. Both of them were startled when Brione\'s doorbell buzzed.
"Are you expecting visitors?" Cedric asked.
Brione heard the clicking on her keypad and she said, "It might be Berry or Mitch."
"Brionne!!! Your sister-in-law is here with your brother."
Brione\'s eyes widened hearing Luo\'s enthusiastic voice.
