Chapter 119 - 119. Easy Takeover
Shiroken went back to the house he had rented. Everyone was gathered there and it was time to move. Their first stop was Sunagakure. But first, Shiroken had to go to the Wind Country Daimyo and consolidate his authority over him. The man was Orochimaru\'s puppet anyway.
So Shiroken told everyone to travel to Sunagakure on foot, while he alone would go through his flying thunder god technique and deal with the matters on the way first.
He arrived at the Daimyo palace. It was the same as before, but the people there looked a bit better since they had access to cheaper items due to the Dama Country\'s trading caravan.
Nobita, the right-hand man of the Daimyo greeted him again dumbly, "Lord Nobunaga, welcome. What might be the reason for your visit today?"
Shiroken realised that most of the non-shinobi population did not know anything about his real identity and still thought he was Nobunaga. Well, it was time to change now.
Knowing too well what part Nobita played, Shiroken grabbed him by his neck and dragged him along, "Hmm... I have heard many bad things about the Daimyo, Nobita. I heard he had dealings with Orochimaru."
"W-What do you mean, Lord Nobunaga, who is Orochimaru?" Nobita asked. But the fact that he was shivering was enough to show he was lying.
Shiroken didn\'t press on it though, "Hmm... doesn\'t matter. Orochimaru was caught by me and will be killed soon. The Daimyo meanwhile gave Orochimaru a letter I believe. It was pledging money to him. You know, dealing with an S ranked missing-nin is very dangerous. What if the missing-nin controls the Daimyo somehow?"
All his words were indirectly meant to agitate Nobita and make him feel afraid. It soon worked and Nobita kneeled down on his knees, clasping his hands together, "Forgive me, Lord Nobunaga, I didn\'t have any part in it. It was all Lord Daimyo\'s plan."
Shiroken smiled, "Is that so? How can I believe you? What if it was you who made the Daimyo so dimwitted? His food was checked, some kind of mental retardation agent was found in it. Is this the real reason why he does not give any contracts to Suna?"
[A/N: Seriously, this whole thing didn\'t make any sense in the canon. Why would a daimyo do such a thing? Make an enemy out of the strongest folks in your land. The Daimyo is just a feudal lord with no strength to boast on after all.]
Nobita, as if he found a lifeline, nodded, "Yes, Lord Dama, you are right. I had no involvement with all the corruption that took place. I think someone else did it, maybe Konoha did it. Please forgive me,"
"Good, then go and get him to sign this document. And I am not Nobunaga, call me Lord Dama. I am the Supreme Daimyo of the Lands of Water, Fire, Waves and the Dama Country. I rule all these completely." Shiroken announced.
Nobunaga felt a lump stuck in his throat, a dried throat at that. He had no words to say at this revelation. He could refute him but he knew that there was being a person going by this name being officially called the Supreme Daimyo.
He just took the paper, "I shall do as you command, Lord Dama."
He ran into the palace to find the Daimyo. Shiroken sighed seeing this. He couldn\'t help but feel bad at how easy it was to buy someone these days. One didn\'t care about loyalty. They just wanted their best self-interests fulfilled, as much as possible.
*Sigh* ~I guess... this selfishness is the reason why the world just... sucks.~
He waited outside the palace calmly. He had not sent a clone here because he didn\'t need to. The Wind Country was a mess. Being a desert country, it was already hard to manage, since portability and travelling were very hard. The villages were poor and some outright cannibalistic. Only Sunagakure, the Wind Country palace and the city, as well as some coastal cities, were in good shape.
It was a poor place and would probably be the most challenging for Shiroken. Or was... challenging. He has yet to see the effects of his work on the land outside Sunagakure. If food grows well on it then perhaps the people shall see Sunagakure as the farm of the world. It would be like a joke to everyone, as that would be the total opposite of what the world sees Sunagakure as right now.
"Lord Dama, I have got the signatures. Here, he didn\'t even read the papers." Nobita kneeled in front of him and served the papers as if it was some kind of a treasure.
Shiroken took them and checked. They were real. He formally became the Supreme Daimyo of the Land of Wind. He wasn\'t even going to hide it anymore and this country will be the first that will be under his direct rule due to the Daimyo\'s incompetence. People didn\'t care who sat in the position of power, they only cared if that said powerful man is good for them or not.
Shiroken politely asked Nobita to stand. He had plans for the man, "You did good, Nobita."
Nobita smiled, "Thanks, my lord. I shall devote my whole life to you. I will do as you ask."
Shiroken sighed, "Good. Then I shall make it painless."
"WHA...?"
Before Nobita could say anything, he felt his life leaving his body as everything stopped working. He just saw Shiroken\'s calm and cold face.
"You are a man who first sold his nation for money and harmed your Daimyo, now you betrayed your Daimyo to sell your country. You in your greed deliberately didn\'t let the far away villages get money aids signed by the Daimyo. You forced them to become cannibalistic. I checked your account. It is full. The best I can do is give you a painless death. Since God exists, there must be hell too. I will pray your stay there is not good." Shiroken made every single organ in Nobita\'s body stop working. But first, he made his brain stop, especially the part that maintained the senses of pain.
Nobita, in just 3 seconds, died. His eyes stayed open, stuck in that position. Instead of finding a place to bury him, Shiroken used his nature control to make a few roots come out of the ground and take the body with them, effectively decomposing it into fertiliser and dealing with the body in the process.
With this done, he went inside the palace. The guards there tried to stop him but he showed them the documents signed and a warning about their payment made them obedient.
He found the Daimyo sitting in his usual place, uncaring about everything that went around them. Shiroken felt like a tyrant at this point. But the world needed one tyrant above all else. That is how peace can be achieved. Hashirama could do this but chose not to. He won\'t be Hashirama.
"Lord Daimyo, you signed over the document recognising me as the Supreme Daimyo of the Wind Country. This makes me your senior, whatever I order, you must do." He revealed.
The Daimyo seemed like he didn\'t even care. "What do you need me to do?"
"Just live, not extravagantly anymore. You shall never marry or have children. You are the last of your bloodline. Do you agree?" Shiroken asked him.
Daimyo nodded, "I\'m already in my 40s. I can\'t have children anyway. At least I get to live."
Shiroken left him alone, ~How the hell can one person be so uncaring about everything? This is so frustrating. How do such people even reach the position of power?~
[A/N: Seriously, how do some dumb people get to high offices? I saw so many videos of country leaders unable to put on a mask like a normal human.]
He let the Daimyo be and started to organise his administration. It needed to be corrected immediately. All those that colluded with Orochimaru needed to be dealt with. Thankfully, it didn\'t take time to find them as Orochimaru had already confessed.
The first thing he did was send food to various villages that were on the verge of dying. Next, he appointed a few underlings from the Nidama Clan. His clan was everywhere at this point. He just brought two men who were in Sunagakure and appointed them temporarily.
After this, he headed to Sunagakure. He arrived at the same time the rest did. But, Shiroken was pleasantly surprised by the view he saw outside Sunagakure.
The barren sandy land now had patches of grass. They were very small but they were present. This meant only one thing, Shiroken\'s work was successful. Infusing Natural Energy in the land made it alive and fertile.
Chiyo came to greet him at the entrance, she also looked much better, "Welcome back, Lord Dama. We have been waiting for you. The people are very excited about the grass outside, they look at it every day, even proposing to set up a night-watch to watch over the grass so no animal eats it."
He chuckled. Grass in the sandy desert, like where Suna was located, was like competency in Hiruzen. Everyone thought it was impossible, but somehow, it happened. Of course, Shiroken only sees Hiruzen as competent because he brought him into Konoha\'s administration.
He smiled, "Well, tell the people that this grass will soon grow bigger and trees will appear. Anyway, you will like who I have here, Chiyo. I present you... your grandson."
Sasori was brought forward by Monari. The boy had his body tied up except the legs. He looked dead at his shocked grandmother and barked, "You\'re still not dead?"
*SLAP*
A strong hard slap resounded across the desert lands with an echo. Chiyo may be physically old, but she was still a strong shinobi.
