Chapter 319 - Advise Wife
Bryana kept crying remembering how she always suffered because of Alex. Even when she was with Dean, Alex still hurt her by not making her comfortable. .even though she just wanted to forgive because yesterday she was saved, but all of that turned into a feeling of disappointment and she didn\'t even know how to forgive or forget all her ex-husband\'s mistakes. It\'s all too heavy for him.
Dean who was still holding Aidyn approached Bryana who was crying. He sat down next to his wife then rubbed her shoulder gently and said, "Honey, I know this is very painful for you. But, it\'s all happened."
"Alex is too mean to me," Bryana said, still crying.
"Yes ... I know that. I also felt it because at that time I was also scared when you almost died from that accident ... But Alex already regretted it."
"He has also squandered the opportunity I gave him…I let him get back to Calvin, but it turns out he\'s hiding the facts about Fin from us. If he had told me from the start, maybe I would never have experienced such an incident of harassment like yesterday," Bryana said annoyed she even still vividly remembers how Fin almost took her honor as a wife.
"I\'m also upset about what happened yesterday... I\'m also disappointed in him but he\'s also the one who saved us. He\'s already responsible for everything...." Dean took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. He embraced Bryana from the side then rubbed his right arm with his right hand while his left hand held Aidyn who was sleeping in her arms.
Bryana is still sobbing with the memories of her dark past. She even regretted her father\'s death every time she saw Aidyn.
"We must be more mature in dealing with this situation. Forgiving is better than continuing to hold a grudge, pain, and resentment. It will only make us far from the word peace and comfort. Inevitably we have to accept this reality and try to be sincere, then live life better and peacefully," said Dean patiently.
"I can\'t forget all those dark memories ..." Bryana said while caressing Aidyn\'s soft cheek. She looked at her son in tears. "Because of him, dad died and couldn\'t see his grandson. I still really want to spend a lot of time with dad, making amends for me all this time. But he died because of that accident… I can\'t stop regretting it."
"We will not be able to forget the incident, but if we are sincere, we can take the incident as a lesson for us. We use the best time possible to be with the people we love..time is more valuable than money..." Dean said then kissed Bryana\'s forehead. "Don\'t cry anymore. I can\'t see you like this. If you are sad, our baby will be sad too."
"What should I do?" Bryana asked weakly.
"I\'m sorry for Alex. after all he is Calvin\'s father. We should be heartened to let him stay free because he also has the responsibility of taking care of Haikal. Haikal is just a kid who doesn\'t know anything… lest one day he becomes a child who does not want to admit his father who is an ex-convict. He will be embarrassed, made fun of by his friends," said Dean with full appreciation, imagining Haikal\'s face which was still innocent.
"Let Alex be free, and he will be more introspective to be a good man. Making someone free is the happiest thing, it will make us feel at peace. Forget about revenge," he continued as he continued to rub Bryana\'s arm.
Bryana was silent trying to steady her heart. She felt so sick at the memory of suffering in the past because of Alex, but she would be as bad as Alex if he allowed Haikal to suffer and live in the care of an evil mother and stepfather.
"Okay...I will forgive him," Bryana finally said as he let go of Dean\'s arms.
"You are indeed a good and strong woman. Patient and forgiving, I love you ...," Dean said as he gently wiped Bryana\'s tears with a warm smile.
Bryana smiled with a blush on her face. ."I am like this because you guide me. I am lucky to have you as my husband."
"We try to make the past a valuable lesson for us..now it\'s better to think about the future for our children, don\'t let problems keep coming, make us ignore them," Dean exclaimed.
Bryana nodded, then glanced at Aidyn who slowly wriggled and finally opened her eyes. The baby looked at her with sad eyes.
"Momm.. mom."
"Let me carry him," said Bryana.
"No. Let me alone. Your body still hurts, don\'t get tired again," said Dean then stood up. "We\'d better go back to Alex\'s room. He must be worried because we suddenly left without saying goodbye."
Bryana sighed, leaning her head against the wall instead. "I\'m not ready to see his face yet. I need some time to calm down. You know how I am... I get emotional easily."
"Honey, won\'t you forgive him?" Dean asked, sitting down next to Bryana again.
"Yeah but I still can\'t help but hate him," Bryana replied sadly.
"At least we meet him now so he doesn\'t turn himself into the police after he recovers. Poor Haikal... After this, you don\'t have to see him again....because I have to hold back jealousy when I see you guys staring at each other," said Dean.
"You are jealous?"
"Of course. My wife interacts with her ex-husband who looks sorry for hurting her, I feel jealous because I\'m worried that she wants you again, and you will be tempted….I can\'t imagine that." Dean looked sad.
"So you\'ve been jealous all this time?" Bryana confirmed with a smile glancing at Dean, while Aidyn was silent because his mouth was holding a pacifier.
Dean just nodded sadly.
Bryana immediately hugged and rested her chin on Dean\'s shoulder. "I won\'t be influenced by him. I still love you and he\'s just a past, even a dark past that leaves scars. I can\'t possibly be attracted to him again."
"Then we approach him and forgive him...if necessary we will help him to get custody of Haikal," said Dean.
"Yes ... I\'m doing this for Haikal," Bryana said again like she was lazy. It seemed she needed to muster up the energy to stare into Alex\'s shuddering face.m
Drettt... Drett
Dean\'s cell phone rang.
Bryana also helped Dean to take the smartphone in his pants pocket because he was carrying Aidyn.. They saw an incoming call from Raymond.
