“What did you find out?” Qiao Yue asked.
“Boss, I don’t think I can explain it clearly over the phone. You should go home and check your email. YQ has already emailed you the information.”
“Alright,” replied Qiao Yue.
“Xiao Yue?”
A voice suddenly rang from behind Qiao Yue, causing her to quickly end the call.
“Fourth brother.” Qiao Yue turned around to face the person.
“What are you doing here? Why aren’t you going home?” Qiao Yu asked, puzzled.
“I was just about to go home. Why are you so late, fourth brother?” Qiao Yue changed the subject subtly.
Qiao Yu glanced at Qiao Yue’s phone and said, “We had a student union meeting to discuss work arrangements for an off-campus social event.”
Qiao Yue nodded. She had already heard about Qiao Yu’s position as the president of the student union on her first day of school. But she didn’t expect that there would be so much work that they had meetings till late.
“Where are you headed? If you’re not going out, let’s go home together. If you’re going out, I’ll give you a ride.” Qiao Yu said.
Qiao Yue shook her head. She was in a hurry to go home and check her email.
Both of them were fiddling with their phones after they got into the car. Qiao Yu’s fingers suddenly stopped when he saw a message, and he only resumed after a few seconds.
“Xiao Yue, how do you feel about attending Harvey?”
Qiao Yue thought that Qiao Yu was just asking casually and didn’t take it seriously, so she said, “It’s alright.”
“It’s alright?”
When Qiao Yu repeated himself, Qiao Yue finally noticed that something was off and looked up at Qiao Yu.
“Take a look at the school forum. There are two threads about you on the school’s trending search.” Qiao Yu handed his phone to Qiao Yue. Qiao Yue was about to decline when she heard Qiao Yu say that one of the threads had been removed and could only be seen in the backend.
Qiao Yue took Qiao Yu’s phone and scanned the discussion threads. She didn’t feel good.
She’s probably not on a school forum but a gossip site, right? Just like Sister Lin said, gossip was one of the four instincts of human beings.
Let’s not talk about the post she had with Sister Lin in the morning. The incident after school had been posted in totality on the forum less than an hour after it happened.
The girl named Xiaoxiao was put on the throne of the goddess of flowers because she dared to speak her mind. As for Qiao Yue, who roasted the goddess on an open fire, she was a scumbag.
However, this scumbag had both looks and might. Although he was scumbag, he received many love confessions from young girls.
The most tragic person was the one who was pressed on the desk and rejected by the goddess. However, after reading the whole story, very few people pointed out that Qiao Yue was in the wrong.
Seeing that Qiao Yue had finished reading, Qiao Yu smiled and said, “Not bad, kid! Your university life is even more exciting than mine.”
Qiao Yue threw Qiao Yu a helpless look. “Fourth brother, I’ll give you the excitement. Do you want it?”
Qiao Yu quickly shook his head. “No, thanks. It’s better not to be embroiled in these girl troubles.”
Qiao Yue sighed and leaned back in her seat, looking out the window with a dead expression. She felt that she had been a little unlucky lately. She should go to the temple and pray to the gods when she had time.
The two of them returned home just in time for the office workers to get off work. Traffic was really bad. Even a luxury car could not squeeze through the traffic and had to wait in line with everyone else.
Qiao Yue dozed off looking out the window at the crowd outside. She vaguely felt her head that was leaning against the window being put on a shoulder.
…
When Qiao Yu saw that Qiao Yue was asleep, he helped her into a more comfortable position.
At this speed, no one knew when they would arrive at home. One’s neck would hurt if one slept against the window.
Qiao Yu touched Qiao Yue’s hair as he held her head. The soft and smooth touch surprised him. He hadn’t noticed before, but Qiao Yue’s hair was very different from theirs.
For example, Brother Ze’s hair was so hard that it pricked people’s hands. He had seen the stylist style his brother and use an entire bottle of hair gel to match his clothes. Although Qiao Ze’s hair looked better, it was not like Qiao Yue’s.
After touching Qiao Yue’s hair a few more times, Qiao Yu stopped and picked up his phone to send a message.
“Move Qiao Yue to a different class. Same class as me.”
